This full-day private vehicle tour takes you through the key wildlife and cultural highlights of Sandakan. Start with a visit to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, where you'll walk along a boardwalk in the Kabili-Seppilok Forest Reserve to observe Orangutans during their feeding session. Next, head to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary to see these unique primates in their natural habitat and witness their feeding.
The tour also includes a stop at the Sun Bear Sanctuary, home to the world’s smallest bear, where you can learn about their conservation. Finally, explore Sandakan's city sights, including the Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple, perched on a hilltop with views of Sandakan Bay. A local lunch is included, offering a taste of the area.

We hired a private driver due to transportation issues and Mr. Azrien was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. He helped us organize our day and suggested additional places to explore. We highly recommend him. Observing animals in the reserve is truly remarkable, far surpassing a zoo experience. With some luck, you may even spot different monkey species.
This experience surpasses the Orangutan Sanctuary in Sepilok in excitement. You get up close with the families of Proboscis monkeys while they feed. I was fortunate enough to also see Hornbill birds during my visit.
What an incredible day! The sight of Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys, Silver Leaf Monkeys, snakes, butterflies, and more was just amazing. We had to pay extra for a private tour since the bus was full, but I’m glad we did. Tofan, our guide, was exceptional; he was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and was accommodating with our schedule. I highly recommend this exciting wildlife tour—you’ll see unique animals up close that you won’t find anywhere else. It was truly memorable.
This park is lovely and offers the chance to see Proboscis monkeys along with other wildlife, such as silver-lipped monkeys and various birds both in and around the area. It wasn't too crowded during our visit, making it a worthwhile experience.
I can't provide feedback on the actual trip because there was no pick-up arranged from the airport. I received no communication, and none of the contact numbers worked, leaving us stranded in Sandarken. I'm currently waiting for a refund, but despite sending two inquiries, I haven't received any responses. However, they were very prompt in taking my payment. I strongly recommend avoiding this service.
The tour was fantastic. We had a great time with our guide and driver Ivy, who was cheerful, friendly, and funny, making our day enjoyable. We participated in various activities listed in the itinerary, and Ivy was accommodating to our request as well. For lunch, we visited a local restaurant where she recommended dishes and even taught us some words in Malaysian. We strongly endorse this activity.
A fantastic introduction to Sandakan's attractions. The guide and driver were great, making the eight hours enjoyable with a good mix of experiences.
Encountered a variety of fascinating wildlife. The guide provided extensive information. However, the orangutan experience was somewhat lacking; I wished there was more time at the rehabilitation center to see their work. The monkeys and sun bears were fantastic, but there was quite a bit of driving involved.
We enjoyed an incredible day on this tour, encountering many of the Borneo big 5. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable and genuinely nice. Since we were the only ones booked, we had a private tour. It was an excellent way to visit all the wildlife parks in one day.
Zali, my tour guide, instantly made me feel safe and welcomed. He shared extensive knowledge about the animals and directed me to the best viewing spots. Additionally, Zali provided insights into the history of the Buddhist temple and detailed the offerings at the Sandakan market. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
