Reviews
The game was enjoyable and well-designed, but I found the foul language and inappropriate descriptions to be off-putting. It could be a fantastic experience without those elements. A warning about this before purchase would be appreciated, as there was none until after I bought it. Thank you.
We had a fantastic time working together as a family to solve the mystery. Although it took longer than we anticipated, we enjoyed the process. The clues were excellent, and the storyline was well-developed. However, some quiz questions were unclear, and there was one question where we couldn’t understand our mistake. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
We managed to answer three questions correctly. You should bring a compass and some writing materials. I'd recommend trying the walking version instead; I chose the driving option and ended up stuck in traffic.
It was enjoyable to solve the mystery and explore Bellingham. There were several different downloads required before we could begin, but after that, everything went smoothly.
I was very disappointed with the experience. Even when answering questions correctly, I was marked wrong. For example, I entered “Trader Joe’s” and still received a wrong answer. Additionally, the character development attempts felt exaggerated, and many were poorly worded with accents that were executed badly.
As a resident of Bellingham, I discovered new sights on this tour that I had previously overlooked. The walking distance was quite manageable, and the mystery element was cleverly designed and offered just the right level of challenge.
The game could have been more enjoyable if it included attractions in Bellingham that visitors would like to see, such as Fairhaven, the marina, and Whatcom Falls Park, instead of random, less appealing streets. It seems feasible to design it in a way that allows players to explore popular sites while participating. Additionally, it was frustrating when we provided correct answers but received incorrect notifications, like when we solved a word scramble for "Trader Joe’s" and were told the answer was “supermarket.” After about an hour, we decided to stop. Improving the clarity of activity instructions and incorporating better sites would enhance the experience.
Not suitable for adult couples; it's more suited for children. We visited locations of past crimes, but it felt pointless—arriving with no engaging elements or props to enhance the experience. It would have been enjoyable to interact with real people, like getting a drink from a bartender. Such features could significantly improve the activity.
We had a great time celebrating a birthday together; it was truly a fun event for the occasion.
We had a fantastic time, although it took us longer since we were sharing one phone. Some clues were trickier to crack, and having a compass feature would have helped us with directions. Overall, it was a lot of fun.
