This experience is not worth the cost. Spending so much for my kids to play with Lego blocks at home for free felt silly. The single ride lasted only about a minute. I won't return; I'd rather save my money for a trip to the real Legoland.
Terrible experience; they showed no concern for us. My niece was brought to tears because of their rudeness towards toddlers. Additionally, we were charged $40 for picture prints without any support or assistance offered. I do not recommend this at all.
The service is extremely poor; they seem more focused on money than on customer experience. They upset my partner to the point of tears, and the manager's only response was an apology with no resolution.
Visiting this place was an ideal choice for a rainy afternoon with my two kids, aged 8 and 12. Even though they are a bit older than the target age group, they both had a fantastic time, as did I! We enjoyed three hours there and could have easily spent another hour just navigating the laser maze. I was really impressed by the range of activities that captivated the kids, and I liked that many of them were enjoyable for adults too, including the laser maze, 4D movie, reflex-testing game, and laser shooting ride, alongside the impressive Legoland representation of the SF Bay Area. Situated in the space of a former Sears, this is a great example of how experiential retail can revitalize a mall that has lost its anchor store. Everything was amazing.
The experience was too small in scope, and staying longer than 30 minutes felt tedious. It didn't offer good value for the money, especially with an additional $5 charge each for the 4D ride.
We had a terrible experience due to awful customer service. Despite having an annual pass, my family was denied entry with my distressed 6-year-old daughter. The manager, Cat, refused to let her in, citing a policy that banned entries on days when kids are out of school. I couldn't believe it; we had the pass and just wanted a one-time entry for our crying child. Instead, we were told to buy tickets, which was infuriating given our situation. It felt very unprofessional and heartless, especially for a place that should care about families. The online pass purchase is misleading, as it doesn't state these restrictions clearly. I will be reaching out to corporate to address how this situation was handled. They need to hire someone in management who shows genuine concern for their customers and the children.
During our visit to the San Jose area in July, we decided to check out LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area. My husband and I purchased tickets, and we used a coupon from a Lego toy pack to get our son in for free, while our daughter, under 2, also entered at no cost. The facility was suitable for younger kids, particularly those aged 8 and under; however, I think it would not engage older children for long periods. My 1-year-old enjoyed the Duplo and bubble machine, while my 4-year-old was captivated by two 15-minute 4-D movies that were just right for his attention span. These movies are shown hourly and are included with admission. The play structure, Imagination train ride, and Ninja Training added to the overall enjoyable experience.
My 20-month-old and 3.5-year-old had an awesome time. We spent three hours there, but could have easily stayed longer. There was so much to do that my kids didn't even make it to the playground. The cafe offered reasonably priced options, which was appreciated since we couldn’t go to the mall food court due to no re-entry. This venue is fantastic for young children. It served as a wonderful mid-year preview, making me confident that Legoland will be a great choice for my son next year.
I never received my tickets via email and ended up losing money because I had to pay out of pocket a second time for my Autistic son. We drove down but faced numerous obstacles. Fortunately, I had additional funds available; otherwise, it could have been a complete disaster. Despite the major inconvenience, my son enjoyed himself as he remains unaware of adult concerns. I am seeking a refund, as I cannot afford to waste any money. Working with third parties is not advisable; I’ve learned to deal directly with vendors in the future. I wish my experience had been much better, allowing for a more positive review, but this reflects my reality.
The location at the mall entrance is very convenient. It's engaging and enjoyable for adults, featuring three different 4D movies and incredible replicas of key landmarks from San Francisco and San Jose.
