A full day exploring the San Blas Islands — traditional mola-making, relaxing at Pelican Island, and snorkelling at a natural pool.
This full-day tour of the San Blas Islands features four key spots, immersing you in local culture and stunning natural beauty. The day begins with lessons from Guna grandmothers on traditional mola-making, allowing you to craft your own textile with their expert guidance. After engaging with the community, visit Pelican Island, a well-known filming location for Money Heist, to relax on the beach or snorkel in the clear waters.
Next, you’ll explore Ina Island, where you can enjoy its picturesque beach while observing local artisans weave palm fibers into unique crafts. The day wraps up with a visit to a natural pool—an idyllic sandbar where you can spot starfish. Refreshments including fresh fruit and a meal of fried fish with salad will be served. Beach towels and snorkeling gear can be requested, ensuring a comfortable day in the water.

The driver was excellent, and the experience was enjoyable. It is a lengthy day, but certainly worth it. I highly recommend this trip. Thank you for a fun day!
I failed to join the tour because I wasn't informed of the departure point until under 24 hours before my scheduled time. The day before, communication was with a third party, and it took over six hours to get a reply. The location was over two hours away and required a 4x4 vehicle. I received no response regarding pickup. The details provided during the booking were insufficient, and waiting to send information after making it non-cancellable feels like being cheated.
Occasionally, unexpected situations arise. We ended up missing our booked tour, but the team was extremely understanding and provided us with a voucher for a complimentary tour. I am eager to experience it. Thank you, Marisol.
The water at the island was stunning, and the boat ride enjoyable, plus the weather was great. However, I would have appreciated more vegetarian options in the food.
We took a private family tour on May 1st, and it was extremely well-organized. I reached out to the provider the night before, and Salim promptly responded. The tour kicked off at 5 a.m. and wrapped up around 7 p.m. Our driver was timely and friendly, though he primarily spoke Spanish, with limited English. Given the limited English spoken in Panama, understanding some Spanish is beneficial. We had our own boat that took us to the first beach, where we enjoyed three chairs under a sunshade, making it far more pleasant than sharing space with numerous tourists. Lunch on another island was decent—there are certainly better meals elsewhere, but the stunning views make San Blas worth the visit. Our last stop was a third island where we walked around and learned about the local Guna community. It was fascinating, and the locals were friendly and respectful of our space. The return drive to Panama City in a comfortable 4x4 concluded a wonderful day. While the tour was pricey at $923 for three of us, it was worth it for the private transportation and the exclusive beach experience. Families looking to avoid crowded tours should definitely consider this as a special treat.
What a fantastic day trip! The driver and guides were superb, the weather couldn't have been better, and the water was crystal clear. It was absolutely worth the cost.
The San Blas tour was fantastic, with a very knowledgeable and helpful guide. The driver was excellent, though there was a minor fender bender on the return. Thankfully, everyone was fine. Driving in Panama can be a bit hectic, but the driver ensured everyone's safety. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
