A full day sailing trip at San Blas Islands, including lunch, snorkeling, and cultural encounters with local Kuna people.
This day tour begins with a 5:00 AM pickup from your accommodation to Carti Port, where a speedboat takes you to your sailboat. An experienced crew will greet you with a briefing before you set sail for the stunning San Blas Islands. The itinerary includes visiting pristine islands and snorkeling in some of the archipelago's most untouched coral reefs.
A fresh, locally-sourced lunch can be enjoyed on board or ashore, with plenty of time to relax and soak in the surroundings. Post-lunch, engage with the local Kuna community or enjoy more snorkeling before the return trip. At 3:00 PM, the speedboat will bring you back to the port for the ride to the city.

The trip was lengthy but truly enjoyable and definitely worth it. We were picked up from our hotel at 5:30 AM and had about a 2.5-hour drive to the Caribbean Coast, which was hilly and winding but manageable. We hopped onto a Panga speedboat that took us down a river and out to the ocean. We stopped to drop off some fellow travelers at small islands before heading to a sailboat arranged by our guide. A delightful breakfast was served, and we took a smaller boat to a tiny island where we swam, relaxed, and admired the pristine scenery, a true paradise preserved by the local community. After returning to the sailboat, we enjoyed an outstanding lunch and then spent a few hours sailing, which was incredibly fun. I only wish we had more time. The Panga picked us up at 3 PM, and we were back in Panama City by 6 PM. Everyone involved was wonderful and helpful in making the day memorable, especially Jenny, who organized everything, and Diego, our captain, who ensured we had an amazing experience. They tailored the day perfectly for us. Just a note: bring cash, as there are no ATMs or credit card facilities, but everything offered is great value.
This was an amazing experience with a warm and friendly host. The snorkeling was incredible, featuring a stunning coral reef filled with diverse fish. The Italian pasta dinner was delightful, and the beaches were magnificent. The sea's color was breathtaking! Five hours felt too brief, and we wished for more. We would definitely do this again.
The trip was very enjoyable and relaxing, with Captain Diego being a great host who brought a wealth of sailing expertise. I do wish I had opted for the multi-night experience instead of just the day trip, as the drive to and from was quite lengthy.
We had a delightful day in San Blas. While on the islands, we encountered some Kunas, who were selling their crafts and molas. The lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients was a highlight. It was a long day, but we were very pleased we went on the tour.
The experience was dreadful, failing to meet any of the tour's promises. First, the canoe had motor issues, causing three stops in the ocean, and we reached the sailboat an hour late at 10:00 AM. Additionally, the sailboat was not as advertised; it was an old, dirty vessel meant for four people maximum. The captain informed us he wouldn’t move the sailboat, forcing us to sit in a cramped space for two hours. I reached out to the travel agency agent, Jeny, about these issues, but she took no action. We were transported in a small, worn dingy to Isla Grande for a brief 10-minute swim before lunch. Afterward, we returned to the sailboat in the dingy, and the captain only sailed for 15 minutes to Isla Perro Chico, where we were again taken to the beach. Then, less than 10 minutes later, the canoe arrived to take us back to the mainland. We couldn’t snorkel, swim, or hop between islands. Most of our time was spent just traveling in the canoe. It felt like a complete deception, especially for $730 for two people.
This experience was definitely an adventure! The journey to the coast was filled with twists and turns, so those prone to motion sickness should be ready. Upon reaching the water, we took a speedboat to a sailboat in the ocean. We then kayaked to islands of our choosing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with stunning water!
The San Blas Islands are a must-visit destination. The scenery is stunning, although the journey there is quite bumpy, causing some car sickness among us. Despite that, it was a unique experience worth having. The return trip was more manageable. Diego was an excellent guide on the sailboat and made the experience enjoyable. I would definitely choose this trip again.
We had an incredible time on our San Blas tour organized by Jenny. Our day started at 5 a.m. with our punctual driver, Luis, who ensured a safe and friendly three-hour drive to the port. We boarded a speedboat and soon reached our sailboat, where a fantastic crew welcomed us. Their warmth and extensive sailing experience in San Blas were evident. They were attentive and talented cooks, serving us fresh fish for lunch and accommodating food restrictions by checking everyone's needs beforehand. We sailed to a stunning island, enjoyed snorkeling in clear waters, and had fun paddleboarding. The day was seamless, well-coordinated, and carefully planned. By 3 p.m., we began our return to Panama City, wrapping up a truly wonderful day. We highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the beauty of San Blas in just one extraordinary day.
Our sailboat tour was truly unforgettable. Although it was a shared experience, we had the entire boat to ourselves, adding to its uniqueness. The crew was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We snorkeled in stunning, crystal-clear waters that resembled a postcard. We savored fresh, delicious local cuisine that perfectly complemented the adventure. The road to San Blas had its challenges, but our skilled driver ensured a smooth ride. I highly recommend this tour for anyone with limited time in Panama who still wants to experience the magic of San Blas. It is absolutely worth it—a genuine paradise on earth.
The tour exceeded our expectations. They handled all the bookings, which was a great help. Transport picked us up at our hotel and brought us to our sailboat. Our guide Diego was exceptional; he took us to fantastic snorkeling spots, sailing, and island hopping, and treated us to a delicious fresh lobster lunch. This experience deserves a perfect score.
