Devil’s Throat (Garganta del Diablo)
Salta, Argentina

Devil's Throat, or Garganta del Diablo, is a dramatic waterfall in the Iguazu Falls system, located on the border between Argentina and Brazil. It consists of a semicircular precipice dropping nearly 80 metres, where the sheer force of water produces a powerful mist that envelops the surrounding area, creating a unique soundscape.
Visitors typically approach via a network of walkways that provide panoramic views of the falls. Late afternoon can offer the best lighting for photos, and it’s worth spending time at the nearby viewing points to fully appreciate the scale and power of the waterfall. Expect large crowds, especially during peak tourist seasons.
