The guide was excellent and very well-informed. I recommend bringing a snack or a portable meal as the tour finishes around 9 p.m.
Although I'm not particularly into nature, the views were truly stunning. Dima showed great expertise about Utah's history and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy, even with challenging customers.
The trip was fantastic, offering sightings of bison, a horned owl, porcupines, and numerous birds. Our guide was both knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with, and he provided snacks and water, although I suggest bringing extra for a more substantial meal. The only downside was a difficult fellow traveler who was rude and started an argument with the guide upon boarding. Her complaints about the air conditioning led to it being turned off, making it uncomfortable for everyone. She also expressed frustration over the presence of bugs, despite being on an outdoor animal tour. Other guests asked her to stop talking, and she disregarded the safety rules around the bison, mocking the driver for prioritizing our safety. Fortunately, everyone except her had a great time.
The tour of Antelope Island with Dma was fantastic and full of adventure. His extensive knowledge and passion for sharing information stood out. The natural beauty is truly remarkable.
The tour lasted 5 to 6 hours and featured a variety of wildlife. We visited a historic island in the Great Salt Lake, north of Salt Lake City, with an exceptionally knowledgeable guide.
The tour was fantastic. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and came well-equipped with ample water and snacks. We observed a variety of wildlife, and his enthusiasm added to the experience.
This was our second tour with Dima from Matei Travel, and his enthusiasm for nature and ensuring everyone's comfort really stood out. He generously provided bottled water and snacks like granola bars and gummy bears, and always informed us of restroom stops. Despite the rain and cold, Dima encouraged us to explore, leading us to see an owl and a porcupine, and inviting us to walk around Antelope Island where the scenery was stunningly green with trees and horses. We had a wonderful time regardless of the weather. Dima excels at capturing great photos of bison and offers to take family pictures as well. Thank you, Dima, for making sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and well-fed; your efforts made the tour memorable.
This was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. The views were breathtaking, and the tour guide was fantastic.
A brief drive takes you to Antelope Island, where our guide had everything covered, from snacks to charging cables. He was attentive and focused on our well-being while ensuring we saw all the island's wildlife. Getting close to the bison is a unique experience. The short hike to the viewpoint at sunrise was enjoyable and rewarding. Overall, it was a truly beautiful experience.
This tour offered an exceptional experience at a beautiful and unique natural location. We observed burrowing owls, great horned owls, many other bird species, and hundreds of bison. Dima, our guide, was incredibly kind and dedicated, going above and beyond to help us spot as much wildlife as possible. His extensive knowledge of Utah's history, presented in an accessible way, left us truly impressed.
