The tour offered excellent value, covering numerous attractions in just four days. Most of the hotels were satisfactory, but the 14-passenger bus had high steps that made entry and exit challenging for some guests. A foldable step stool would have been helpful.
The tour was an exhilarating experience, rapidly shifting from one stunning location to another. It was definitely worthwhile. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, and several other incredible sites. It was truly remarkable.
The highlight of our journey was definitely CHRIS, our guide, along with Jack, our bus driver, who ensured we reached each location safely. Over four days, we traveled through five states: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Although it was exhausting, my husband and I were able to experience and learn about so many sites, thanks to Chris. We visited Jackson Hole, Antler Arches Square, and Grand Teton, and spent two days in Yellowstone, where we witnessed Old Faithful along with stunning waterfalls and geysers. We also explored Devils Tower, Mt. Rushmore, and the Crazy Horse Memorial. On our final day, we visited the Utah State Capitol and The Tabernacle at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Be prepared to walk about 12,000 steps each day, frequently get on and off the bus, and navigate some mountain slopes (there are railings for assistance). We departed at 7 am and reached our hotel by 8:15 pm. I highly recommend this tour.
Important points to consider before you book: 1. This is primarily a Chinese tour. My guide was Chinese and nearly all fellow passengers were also from China, except for one Japanese individual. 2. The guide mainly served as a driver, rather than providing meaningful commentary. 3. Frequently, our guide forgot to communicate in English, which forced other tourists to translate from Chinese to inform me about timing. 4. I was unable to visit all the places mentioned in the itinerary and didn’t receive the expected time at each stop—it felt very rushed. 5. Each day involved long hours of travel, with drives lasting up to 5.5 hours at a stretch. 6. The bus lacked a bathroom, although it made stops approximately every two hours, with some being just restrooms in remote areas. 7. On the first full day, it took me around three hours to find out the boarding time and location—it was finally confirmed as 07:30.
We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Rebecca Wang. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and communicated excellently, making her a valuable asset to the tour.
This was an excellent tour with a comfortable bus. Our guide, Rebecca, was knowledgeable and communicated in two languages throughout the journey. We experienced many amazing sights across several states (UT, ID, WY, SD). The bus drivers covered long distances, making it much easier than if we had rented a car. We stayed at four hotels, which were all moderately rated inns and motels, conveniently located near various restaurants that Rebecca recommended, offering good food at reasonable prices—overall, costs were lower than in the Northeast. Highlights included visits to Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse. I highly recommend this tour for those looking to access places that are otherwise difficult to reach. It was a worry-free and enjoyable experience.
This was an exceptional tour aboard a comfortable bus. Our guide, Rebecca, was very knowledgeable and bilingual, sharing insights as we visited stunning sights across multiple states (UT, MT, ID, WY, SD). The drivers navigated long distances, making it a much easier journey than if we had rented a car. We stayed at four moderately priced hotels, inns, and motels, with restaurants conveniently located nearby. Rebecca suggested several good dining options with reasonable prices, which are generally lower than what you'd find on the Northeast coast. Highlights included Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse. I highly recommend this tour for accessing hard-to-reach destinations without any stress.
Make sure to rest up beforehand. There are numerous fantastic sights to see and the bus ride is enjoyable. The accommodations, while simple, were all clean. Our guide worked hard to provide information to us three English speakers while also addressing the twenty in Mandarin. Chris, our guide, and Jay, our driver, deserve top ratings. The highlights of the trip were the sights, which were exceptional. Jay skillfully navigated the countryside, keeping us on an efficient route while avoiding tedious interstates.
We really loved this trip. It was enjoyable to make new friends while learning about the Northwestern states and their diverse cultures. Jason, our tour guide and bus driver, was outstanding. He ensured we felt well taken care of and comprehended all activities, and he worked hard to help our two cultures coexist harmoniously.
The Claritan Hotel and the hotel on the road did not meet expectations. However, the accommodations for the other nights were very pleasant.
