Reviews
Yellowstone offers stunning views, geysers, and hot springs, making any drawbacks overshadowed by what the park has to offer. The tour focused mostly on Yellowstone, with only a brief stop at Grand Teton for photos. While the organization was commendable, the schedule felt overly rushed and tiring. The guide was strict about time at each site, often leaving only a short window to appreciate the sights, use restrooms, and return to the bus. Late arrivals were publicly called out and prompted to sing. It's important to note that the tour primarily caters to large Chinese-speaking families, with the guide providing commentary in both Chinese and English. As someone who speaks English as a second language, I found it challenging to fully grasp the information. The first day involved a hurried trip to Yellowstone, with all main sights crammed into the second day. The third day was more relaxed in Salt Lake City, with ample time at the Capitol and Temple Square, which felt unnecessary since those sights can be explored independently. It would have been preferable to extend our time in Yellowstone and rearrange the itinerary for the first two days. Additionally, we were not informed that lunch arrangements were our responsibility in Yellowstone, where food options are nonexistent. This should have been communicated in advance. Overall, the first two days were very exhausting, and spreading the activities out, especially removing the Salt Lake visits, would have improved the experience.
I had a fantastic experience visiting Yellowstone. The tour was excellently organized, allowing us to see all the major attractions over two days. The bus and accommodations were both comfortable, and our guide Ivan was knowledgeable and friendly in two languages. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes as the trails are all easy to navigate.
Overall, it was an excellent tour experience. The guide was very knowledgeable about the park’s various features and its history.
The tour experience could be improved by having both a driver and a guide who arrive on time and are fluent in English. It would also be helpful to offer video recordings with translations. Among the 11 passengers, only four spoke English, which made it frustrating that the guide mainly communicated in Chinese with very little English translation. While there may have been communication challenges, it was still disappointing.
The days were lengthy, but if you can manage, it's definitely worth the effort. The stops along the way were remarkable, though dinner posed a problem.
I had a fantastic three-day tour of Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks from Salt Lake City. The schedule was packed and allowed us to see many sights in a short time. It was a whirlwind, but well worth it for what we experienced from August 7-9, 2025. The transportation and itinerary were excellent, though the accommodations in West Yellowstone could be enhanced considering the tour price. A highlight was our guide, Jacob, who was exceptional. Fluent in both English and Chinese, he offered valuable insights and tips to enhance our experience. I highly recommend Jacob as a guide for a memorable trip.
