Reviews
The audio for the self-guided walking tour was delightful. It provided fascinating information about Salem, and we appreciated being able to set our own pace. It was an exceptional value for the price!
The guide provided an engaging experience filled with intriguing historical insights about Salem and the various locations we explored. She also shared photos of real ghosts captured on camera.
The audio guide was excellent! It was user-friendly and provided us with all the historical details about Salem that we were looking for. It was also ideal for our short half-day visit.
The French translation was quite fitting, and the wording was accurate, with only a minor error or two. This experience was also significantly more affordable compared to museum visits. We explored the area by bike.
The idea of a self-guided walking tour is promising, but the technology did not function as described. I found myself in front of historic sites without any information, and then suddenly, while in my car or at a restaurant, I would receive descriptions of locations far away.
A great way to explore Salem and delve into its historical background. The setup allows for convenient side trips for dining or shopping, after which you can easily rejoin the tour. It’s well organized.
The walking tour was enjoyable and user-friendly from the moment we began. Following the recommendation, we prepared everything on the app at home. It was straightforward to navigate, offering alternative stops and routes for additional insights. Our teenage grandson also found the tour quite informative.
The narration was excellent, and we appreciated the flexibility of taking the tour at our convenience. I rated it a 4 rather than a 5 because it didn't always start automatically.
The initial setup was somewhat stressful since it involved downloading two apps while standing on the sidewalk. However, once everything was installed, the tour turned out to be fantastic. I highly recommend downloading the apps beforehand, but I do question the necessity of having two different ones.
This was my third visit to Salem, and it was mostly fine. However, many attractions were closed or had early closing hours since it was still early in the season.
