What's the itinerary?+
• The journey to the expansive bay of Fazayah, located roughly 80 km west of Salalah, is enjoyable as it passes by Mughsail beach, through winding roads on the slopes of Wadi Afawl, and up to the heights of Jebel Qamar. At this vantage point, you will experience a gentle sea breeze and unobstructed views of the horizon, accompanied by steep rocky cliffs with unique formations. A challenging yet well-kept path leads down to various small and large sandy beaches, where you can change into swimwear and take a dip in the Indian Ocean. • After descending from the mountains, you will head west to the well-known Mughsail. The first stop is the beautiful sandy beach, adorned with gazebos and palm trees, providing shade for those looking to relax while listening to the ocean waves. The mountains lie very close to the water's edge at this location, offering spectacular views. • Another highlight at Mughsail is the blowholes, where seawater forces its way through the rocks, reaching heights of up to 28 meters during peak season. The most impressive displays occur during high tide in Khareef, although this phenomenon can be seen at high tides throughout the year. Between the beach and the blowholes, a lagoon serves as a resting spot for birds migrating between Africa, Europe, and Asia. • The last stop to the west will be Masood Beach, a beautiful stretch of white sand nestled between the mountains, often referred to as the 'hidden beach.' The striking combination of towering mountains alongside the sand and water is a breathtaking sight to appreciate. The return trip to Salalah will feature views of the renowned frankincense trees, and throughout the journey, you may spot camels and other wildlife native to Dhofar.
