This private eight-hour tour offers a comprehensive exploration of Salalah’s east and west. It starts at the old fishing village of Taqah, where you can see traditional Dhofari houses and visit the historic Taqah Castle, the former residence of the regional governor. From there, the itinerary takes you to the ancient ruins of Sumharam, a UNESCO World Heritage site once known for its frankincense trade.

The tour continues with a picturesque drive to the lush Wadi Darbat, perfect for a relaxing stroll along the wadi bed, often dotted with camels, goats, and cattle. On the western side, you'll visit Mughsail Beach to witness its striking white sands and the natural blowholes. Do note that entrance fees for Taqah Castle and Sumharam total 3 OMR and are not included in the tour.

• Wadi Darbat is a verdant valley featuring a river at its center, surrounded by hills with small caves to hike. This location is ideal for family picnics or friendly meetups. During the Khareef (monsoon season), it attracts many locals and visitors who come to appreciate the landscape. • The ancient ruins of the renowned city of Sumharam (Khor Rohri) served as the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom along the historic incense trade route linking the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf, and India. Khor Rori was a significant port in Dhofar, recognized as one of the principal trading cities for frankincense and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. • Taqah Castle, constructed in the 19th century, functioned as the office and residence of the Wali of Taqah until 1970. • AL Mughsail boasts a white sandy beach that meets the deep blue ocean, where, at high tide, waves explode through natural 'Blow Holes' along the 'Rocky beach' featuring a cave-like entrance. The beach extends around 5 km. • Observe the historic ‘Frankincense trees’ thriving in their natural environment within the valleys, interspersed in the dry and rugged terrain. A brief walk into the valleys allows visitors to inhale the 'Holy incense' amidst the beautiful scenery. • There are sources of natural spring water in the area. • The Taqah plateau provides stunning views of Taqah beach and its cliffs.
