This was a solid choice for a private tour for our group of three couples, as we preferred to avoid the expensive bus excursion with the cruise. The guide was knowledgeable about the sights and their history. However, towards the end, he started discussing politics, which we found unwelcome. Aside from that, the tour was enjoyable. He mentioned he would send us some photos, but I haven't received them yet.
Mo, our tour operator, was incredibly kind and takes great pride in his city. We had a wonderful time, and St. Martin was stunning.

Our private tour with Tariq and Akhmad was fantastic. They guided us to some amazing sights and were very accommodating to our requests. They were especially helpful with my father's mobility challenges. I would definitely recommend them.
It's challenging to determine if our experience was typical. Several ships were rerouted to Saint John due to the hurricane. We were a group of six in a mini van, but the captain's chairs meant three of us had to squeeze into the back, which was cramped and uncomfortable. Our driver was very friendly, but his limited English made communication difficult at times. He provided some commentary at the stops, but couldn't elaborate much when questions arose. Having previously enjoyed outstanding private tours at three other ports, our expectations were higher. We did see the Bay of Fundy and the lighthouse, but overall, there wasn't much else to excite us. Our driver appeared to be a taxi driver rather than a trained tour guide, which may explain the lack of depth in the experience given the surge in tourists. We booked nearly a year in advance and felt we deserved more since this was a key stop for us.

We enjoyed this tour. Our driver was attentive and made sure we visited certain spots multiple times to observe the changing tides. At the tour’s conclusion, he kindly allowed our group to split up, dropping us off at two separate locations.

We had a fantastic experience on our city tour of St. John with Ali. He was entertaining, knowledgeable, and truly made the day memorable. The Reversing Falls were spectacular, and Ali took us to an ideal spot for photos. We enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant near the Sea Caves, where we had the best lobster rolls. I highly recommend this tour as an excellent way to explore the city.
