We witnessed a variety of sights, including the unique reverse falls where water flows both from the St. John River to the Bay of Fundy and back again. The St. Martins caves were incredible during low tide.
This experience was very disappointing. A one-star rating may seem harsh, but I want to caution future travelers about potential issues. Despite booking weeks in advance for a 1:00 PM tour, we ended up in a taxi, which the operator called an "upgrade," but it mainly cramped our view. It appeared that the operator summoned his friend Amir last minute to transport us, and there were only four of us on this tour, suggesting they overbooked. Although we were promised an English-speaking guide, Amir barely understood and couldn't provide any commentary, which was not his fault. We only visited about half the sites on the itinerary and missed seeing the reversing falls as planned. This was supposed to be a six-hour tour, but we were hurried back after just four hours, likely to cut costs. A flat tire added to the rushing, even though we had no time constraints since our cruises didn’t leave until later. An encounter with the operator at one stop led to no solution for our poor experience. To top it off, we were asked about payment upon returning, and the only included water was not provided. Maybe this was just an off day, but I question whether the tour was properly vetted. The only silver lining was connecting with the other couple on the trip, as we shared our frustrations. Unfortunately, I left Saint Johns feeling cheated and disappointed after this tour.
