Dawnie made for an excellent host, guiding us to fantastic eateries with a diverse range of food and drink options. The portions were quite generous, and the tour was both informative and enjoyable. Her passion and expertise contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Daunie, our guide, was fantastic. She provided plenty of historical insights about Sacramento along with information about the local restaurants. It was a fun tour visiting five different eateries.
Dawnie was excellent. She was understanding about our late arrival (thanks to Apple) and guided us through her neighborhood. Her grace and knowledge were impressive. The food choices were delicious, and even our Sacramento resident learned a lot about the area. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience.
The guide was excellent, and the history shared was fascinating. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend this tour. I really enjoyed visiting each of the five restaurants and trying samples at all of them.
Experiencing a city through a food walking tour is unmatched, and this tour exemplified that. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and delightful to be around. Exploring a lesser-known neighborhood was a lot of fun. I strongly recommend all the Local Roots Food Tours.
The tour was both informative and engaging. We gained great insights into the Sacramento food scene and local history. The food portions were generous and varied. Our guide, Dawnie, was excellent.
A small group of us joined this tour, and I'm so pleased we did. Our guide, Dawnie, was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. We visited four different food stops, sampling a diverse range of dishes she had curated, all of which were excellent. Dawnie also provided fascinating historical insights about the area and offered stories and tips about the local dining scene. This tour was definitely a fantastic value and an exceptional way to explore the region—highly recommend!
The tour was fantastic, as was Dawnie and the food! We thoroughly enjoyed sampling various dishes and exploring the sights. A highlight for me was when I mentioned I had never tried Persimmon, and Dawnie suggested we taste one later at her coop. It was a delightful morning with great company. Thank you very much.
I really enjoyed my first food and walking tour in the East Sacramento area. We visited a coffee shop, a Vietnamese restaurant, a bakery, and had a drink at Hawkes. It was informative and gave me great insight into Sacramento's food scene.
The guide was excellent, and the food selections were outstanding.
