Reviews
Locating the starting point in Auburn was a bit challenging. However, once we found it, the journey was delightful. The drive was beautiful, with many intriguing spots to explore. Don't miss the chance to spend time in Placerville.
The software had some issues with tracking our location accurately, but I was able to skip ahead to a nearby spot. Overall, we found it engaging, and the drive was beautiful with good audio commentary.
The audiotour provided a great way to enjoy a stunning backcountry drive while also discovering the area's history.
The tour was very distracting due to numerous winding roads and heavy traffic. Road construction caused backups of about half a mile, making it far from my ideal experience.
The tour provided a lot of valuable information, and the directions were easy to follow. I appreciated the option to pause whenever necessary or resume after spending extra time in Coloma.
This tour was wonderful and filled with fascinating information. I had some difficulty locating the start point due to a lack of parking, but once we commenced, everything went smoothly. It was convenient to pause and resume the tour. Overall, it's an excellent method to learn on the go.
The drive along Hwy 49 from Auburn to Placerville is pleasant, with several interesting stops. There's plenty to see in both Auburn and Placerville. This season is perfect for apple and grape harvesting, and exploring Apple Hill is a must, with its apple-themed offerings and numerous boutique wineries. High Hill Ranch deserves special mention for having the best apple pies.
From beginning to end, this audio tour was straightforward to navigate, exceptionally informative, and clearly presented throughout the entire experience.
After locating the starting point (the program requires you to be precisely at the spot to begin), the experience was fantastic. The GPS guided me throughout, and the narrative directed me to places I would have otherwise missed. I highly recommend this, thank you.
As seniors who aren't comfortable with technology, we found the experience frustrating. The app frequently displayed "app permission denied" and "location unavailable" errors, leading to an hour of searching for the starting point. After multiple laps around the block, we chose to travel along Hwy. 49 without the app. Eventually, we located the highway and the app started working unexpectedly. While there was interesting historical information, some seemed excessive, and the background sound effects were quite distracting.
