• Kunjapuri Devi Temple holds great significance in the Hindu religion. Situated at an elevation of 1676 meters in the Tehri Garhwal District, Kunjapuri is among the 52 shaktipeeth temples in Uttarakhand. According to belief, the chest of Sati, the first wife of Lord Shiva, is said to have fallen in this location, which is why the temple is named Kunjapuri, with "kunja" meaning chest in Sanskrit. In addition to its religious and spiritual importance, the temple provides sweeping views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains and peaks.
