The excursion takes place on Rehoboth Bay, where you’ll kayak through shallow waterways while spotting local birds such as Ospreys and Great Blue Herons, along with Bald Eagles overhead.

The kayaks were sleek and new, and safety protocols were strictly adhered to. Making reservations by phone was hassle-free, and the operation ran seamlessly. Our group of eight was led by Joshua Pfender, an Environmental Science major at the University of Delaware, who was exceptionally knowledgeable about Rehoboth Bay’s history and ecosystems. We searched for an eagle, spotted a large osprey nest, and learned about the Native American ancient burial ground located on the island.
Josh, our guide, was fantastic. As a beginner in kayaking, I appreciated his clear instructions and the relaxed pace of the trip. The bay was beautiful, and we spotted some wildlife along the shore.
We chose an ideal day for our kayaking adventure. The sunset made for a stunning backdrop, and the water resembled glass as we paddled. The narrow channels filled with mussels were amazing to explore.
Our sunset kayaking tour on the bay was fantastic. We enjoyed watching the Ibis flying in formation and spotted Ospreys a few times. It was a lovely evening, and our guide was welcoming to everyone, regardless of age. I would highly recommend this as a great first experience for novice kayakers. It was also fun to see Dewey from the water.
We had a fantastic evening on the bay. Although it was a bit windy during our trip, we managed to reach Thompson Island for calmer waters and spotted the resident eagle. Jeremy was an excellent guide, and Janis was very pleasant and easy to work with.
The kayaking guides were excellent, and we really enjoyed the Sunset Excursion. It was a fun experience as we paddled through marshes and observed various wildlife. Highly recommend it.
We reserved the final sunset tour of the season and it exceeded our expectations! Lexi, our guide, was well-informed about the marshlands and coastline, and she was wonderful company. The weather was ideal, and the sunset could not have been better. We strongly recommend these tours for everyone, from beginners to experienced kayakers.
