Reviews
The term “glass bottom” might not fully capture what the boat is like, but Jake was an excellent host and made the experience enjoyable.
We participated in the 45-minute glass bottom boat tour today, and it fell short of our expectations. Our main goal was to see marine life through the glass, but we were only allowed about 10 minutes downstairs, during which we spotted just a small group of fish. Afterwards, we had to move upstairs and rotate with another group. Given that the tour is promoted as a glass bottom experience, there should have been sufficient time for everyone to enjoy it. It seemed overcrowded, which diminished viewing opportunities for all. Instead of concentrating on showing marine life, the tour guide, who also operated the boat, permitted several children to take turns at the wheel, pretending to drive and taking photos, which further limited our chance to see more fish. When I politely requested to take a photo at the wheel, he insisted that I let the children go first. After waiting, I asked again and received an impatient and rude response, which made me choose not to take the photo at all. Additionally, while we waited in the sun for about 30 minutes, my spouse became very dizzy and developed a headache. She inquired about going inside the boat to sit down, but the tour guide hesitated. He only permitted her to go below when she was nearly fainting. Afterwards, she felt extremely unwell and was very disappointed. When I inquired about the limited fish sightings, the guide mentioned that a storm had caused the yellow fish to hide, which did not seem like a convincing explanation, especially considering what was advertised. Even though the tour was not overly expensive, the experience itself felt poorly organized, unprofessional, and not worth our time or money. Customer service and safety should be prioritized, but unfortunately, this tour did not meet even the basic expectations.
Had a great experience overall. I went with my family and would suggest it to anyone who is in the Redondo Beach area. Thank you!
The trip was fantastic; the kids really enjoyed themselves, and we saw plenty of fish and sea lions. I highly recommend it. Thank you!
The experience was fantastic; observing the fish, sea lions, and learning about the marina's history was truly delightful. The host was outstanding, making it a must-visit if you're in the region.
We thoroughly enjoyed the glass bottom boat experience. The captain was very friendly and shared interesting historical details about the harbor and nearby areas. We spotted sea lions, many birds, and lots of fish. He also allowed the kids to steer the boat and do donuts. I highly recommend this for a fun activity in the area. Thank you!
We enjoyed an excellent experience, and the boat driver and tour guide truly made it enjoyable for the children, which was a highlight. We spotted sea lions and plenty of fish through the glass bottom and from the top of the boat, where we could also feed them.
We had a fantastic time on the boat! The crew ensured we spotted the sea life and entertained us with dad jokes, making it feel just like a fishing outing with Dad.
A fantastic experience to discover and gain insights about Redondo Pier. Captain Eric was warm and informative, making the journey very enjoyable. I highly recommend this for families with children as well.
It was enjoyable, convenient to reach, reasonably priced, and provided ample time to observe the fish along with interesting stories about the harbor.
