I gave this experience as a gift to my son and his family during their visit to Raleigh, and they thoroughly enjoyed it while picking up some fascinating facts. I’ve previously used Wacky Walks in Washington D.C. and Saratoga Springs, NY, and have always found them easy to follow without any issues accessing the app.
The hunt was satisfactory, but not exceptional. I expected an experience that would provide insights about Charlotte, NC, yet some missions felt too generic and could apply to any city. We completed several tasks within just the block we began in.
Engaging in the various missions was a highlight. I enjoyed exploring downtown, searching for different items, and gaining more insight about the city.
This treasure hunt does not focus on the city as advertised. I expected to learn about Raleigh through the game, but taking pictures of a bus shelter or mailbox wasn't informative. I still lack knowledge about Raleigh’s history. It's disappointing.
Everyone had a fantastic time. While the focus isn't strictly on historical facts, the fun and creative clues keep you engaged with your group. I would absolutely participate in this experience again.
