It was established in 1868 to educate princes from the royal families of Kathiawar and transitioned to a public school in 1938. • Known previously as Alfred High School, it was founded by the British in 1885 and is among the oldest high schools in India. The architecture reflects a Gothic Norman style, and it was renowned for its high educational standards. Mahatma Gandhi was an alumnus, and the school’s name was changed by the State Administration in his honor. Here, Gandhi famously misspelled the word “kettle.” • This museum features an impressive collection of over 1,400 dolls from around the globe, offering insights into diverse cultures, environments, clothing, and festivals.
