Commence your trek up Shatrunjaya Hill, spanning roughly 3.5 km with around 3750 steep steps. The hike is demanding but offers stunning vistas of the surrounding area. • Afternoon: 10:30 AM: While climbing, you will see many elaborately carved Jain temples, each showcasing distinctive architecture and historical significance. Allow time to appreciate these temples and the rich heritage of Jainism. Marvel at the intricate marble carvings, sculptures, and precious stones decorating the temples, and learn about the Jain Tirthankaras (spiritual leaders) honored within. 1:00 PM: Arrive at the summit of Shatrunjaya Hill, home to the holy Palitana Jain Temple complex, featuring over 800 temples dedicated to various Jain Tirthankaras. Spend time embracing the spiritual ambiance and take in the panoramic views from the top. The tranquil environment and sacred presence of the temples create a noteworthy experience. • Evening: 2:30 PM: Start your descent back to the hill's base. Take care while navigating the steep steps and relish the beauty of the landscape. 4:00 PM: Return to Palitana and enjoy a traditional Gujarati lunch at a local eatery. Gujarati cuisine is celebrated for its distinctive flavors and vegetarian dishes, which are highly recommended during your stay.
