The tour company was highly professional. I booked just the afternoon prior, and their communication was quick and transparent. Our English-speaking guide, Danny, was engaging and entertaining. The seafood lunch at a local restaurant was excellent. This tour is a must-do when visiting Quy Nhon.
I had a wonderful day exploring Quy Nhon. The stunning, secluded Ky Co beach and the entertaining sea lion show were highlights. We enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch at the fishing village and had an engaging visit to the Ngoc Hoa pagoda. The refreshing sea breeze at Cape Eo Gio was invigorating. Our guide, Ngao, was friendly and shared insightful information about the region.
This tour offers a fascinating look at various elements of Vietnamese culture and attractions, although I encountered some issues that could be addressed. On the positive side: the pickup and drop-off service directly at my hotel was greatly appreciated. The itinerary included a diverse range of activities such as sand dunes, a Buddhist temple, Ky Co beach, an on-water recreation area, Eo Gio, and lunch at a local restaurant. It was a complete day filled with enjoyable activities, and I strongly recommend it for anyone wanting to visit these sites. The Buddhist temple and the beach were among my favorites. As for the negatives: I found myself on a tour with only Vietnamese participants, and the guides communicated exclusively in Vietnamese. While I didn’t mind the language barrier, I did miss most of the guide’s information. We initially used Google Translate, but the guide soon ceased providing details about the schedule and meeting points, which became a significant issue for me. The lack of communication meant I had to hurry through visits to avoid falling behind. We also made a stop at a floating cabana that offered various water sports. I was encouraged to try a jetski and paddleboarding, but no one mentioned that these activities involved additional fees. While I don't mind paying extra for these experiences, I would have preferred to be informed beforehand about the costs. Thankfully, I had enough cash on hand, but this could have led to an uncomfortable situation. Lastly, I recommend bringing your own water, snacks, sun protection, and extra clothes for the beach, as well as a waterproof bag for your phone to be fully prepared.
The beach was lovely but heavily crowded. We only appreciated the beach and seal show. The boat ride to and from the location felt overcrowded. Afterward, we had a mediocre lunch at a restaurant where we waited for over three hours in the heat for the van to return us to the hotel. Communication was poor, and the tour organization left much to be desired. Opting for private transport would have been a better choice.
This trip offered excellent value and included a tasty meal along the way. The scenery was incredible, particularly at Kỳ Co beach. We enjoyed sea walking and explored Eo Gio. Overall, it was a memorable day, and I appreciate the organizers for a delightful experience.
Visiting Ky Co Eo Gio was a fantastic experience. Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and courteous, and the food was superb. The value for the service we received was outstanding.
The scenery was beautiful, but the tour operator fell short. We booked a private tour with an English-speaking guide from 9 AM to 3 PM and communicated our preferences. Ms. Phuong initially set the time for 8 AM, then changed it to 7:45 AM without explanation. Unfortunately, the guide struggled with English, requiring my wife to translate. He was an excellent photographer, though. The sites we visited were enjoyable, and lunch was good but far too much for 8 to 10 people, resulting in waste. Additionally, the driver was frequently on his phone, both calling and texting, which seems common in Vietnam.
The tour offered a decent overview of the surroundings near Qui Nhon, though nothing particularly remarkable stood out. Our guide spoke very little English and seemed unfamiliar with the sites we visited. On the plus side, it ended up being a private tour at no additional cost, which was a nice benefit.
The location was excellent, but the tour was not worth the money. We went on an all-day trip with Quy Nhon tourist to Ky Co beach, which we could have done ourselves. The guide didn’t speak English and made no effort to communicate with us, so we missed out on the history and local insights. We received only a bottle of warm water and a hat at the start, and hot water at the end, with no snacks provided to hold us over until lunch. We had to pay for everything else, and the guide failed to explain our visits to the Buddha and the sand dune, leaving us waiting at times. Although the beach was impressively clean and lunch was generous with options for non-seafood eaters, the overall experience was disappointing. I recommend finding alternative ways to visit Ky Co beach or see the Buddha independently, especially if you don’t speak Vietnamese fluently.
The day was well-organized. Hoa provided excellent explanations and was very helpful throughout the experience. His command of English was much appreciated. The scenery was beautiful.
