Two to three hours guided walk through Manuel Antonio National Park with a specialist — spot monkeys, sloths, and toucans along the way.
Join a small group of 8 to 10 for a guided nature walk in Manuel Antonio National Park, a habitat known for its immense biodiversity. Accompanied by a nature specialist, you will explore the park's trails and observe its rich wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, toucans, and more. The guide will have a professional spotting scope, allowing for close viewing of animals and the opportunity to take photographs with their optical equipment.
The tour typically lasts between two to three hours. It’s advisable to bring a personal water container, as plastic bottles are not permitted, and pack a swimsuit if you plan to enjoy the beach inside the park. This is an engaging way for nature enthusiasts to learn about the local ecosystem.

Our guide was fantastic, possessing extensive knowledge and experience. We encountered numerous animals and received insightful information about each one.
This was a fantastic experience with outstanding service. We had the opportunity to enjoy nature, its beauty, and the wildlife. The guide was truly amazing.
We had an excellent tour with Elias, who was both knowledgeable and friendly. We gained a lot of insights about the area and the park. We highly recommend this experience.
I regret not heeding the negative reviews before booking this tour. The experience lasted only around 2 hours, and the guide was difficult to understand. The park was overcrowded, with multiple tour groups vying for space at the same starting point. Our scheduled start time changed from 7 to 7:30, and the guide arrived late. It’s chaotic as around 25 other groups are all trying to see the same sights. I wondered why the park doesn't stagger the tours to alleviate the crowding. Also, despite claims of snacks for a 4-hour tour, we received nothing. After just 2 hours, we were left without food, which was a challenge, especially with bored and tired kids. Bringing our own food is not allowed. I would not recommend this tour or any other in such a packed park. Next time I visit Costa Rica, I’ll avoid it altogether.
My husband and I took a guided tour in Manuel Antonio park with Edgar as our guide. He was friendly, humorous, and extremely knowledgeable. When we shared the animals we hoped to see during our 2-hour walk, he managed our expectations realistically while keeping our hopes alive. Edgar skillfully spotted various animals and helped us view them through his scope. He shared plenty of information about each creature and assisted us in taking stunning photos. Ultimately, he showed us all the animals we wanted to see and even more. Just as we were leaving the park, he located a Scarlet macaw, which was the last animal on our list. I strongly recommend this leisurely guided tour to anyone interested in observing and learning about the local wildlife. It was definitely worth the cost.
We enjoyed a fantastic trip, beginning with an easy pickup from our Manuel Antonio resort and a brief 10-minute ride to the park. Our guide, Edgar, was extremely knowledgeable and skilled at locating wildlife that I would have missed on my own. We were fortunate that day, which Edgar communicated effectively. He was engaging and made the experience memorable. He identified a toucan's call, assisted us in finding it, and we had an incredible view through his scope. On our way out, he returned to show us a macaw that was perched near the gate. I highly recommend this tour; it's definitely worth every penny and more.
Rodolpho was an exceptionally knowledgeable and patient guide. With his assistance, we spotted many frogs, and he took the time to explain each species we encountered. It was a fantastic walk with some incredible animal discoveries, including glass frogs and red-eyed tree frogs.
This tour ranked among the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Ellias, was exceptional, sharing extensive knowledge about the wildlife, the park, and Costa Rica. He took great care of us, and we felt fortunate to experience the tour with him. We encountered numerous animals and gained valuable insights. Our group of six had a positive atmosphere. The tour lasted nearly three hours, plus additional time for park entry and explanations. Before leaving, we had the option to stay in the park, allowing us to enjoy the beaches since the day pass was included.
Kenneth was an excellent guide! We saw sloths, lizards, and birds. It was a fantastic experience!
