Reviews
Juan provided an insightful tour of the plantation, explaining the process of cacao cultivation and its transformation into various products. The coffee tasting was enjoyable, particularly given the early timing, though I wish the tour had lasted longer. I also brought home some cacao nibs, which I'm looking forward to using more in my diet.
Sergio was fantastic and very informative! The chocolate and coffee were delightful. His insights into the history and background of Costa Rican coffee and chocolate were invaluable. The entire experience from hotel pickup to drop-off was smooth and efficient. We loved every moment!
Sergio was excellent; he was informative and had a great sense of humor.
Sergio serves as an outstanding guide—he is funny, engaging, and well-informed. I had a fantastic time!
I had a wonderful experience with our guide Sergio. The flavors of the chocolate, coffee, and sweets were excellent, and the tour was quite fascinating.
This experience was absolutely amazing. Our guide, Juan, was very well-informed and answered all our questions accurately. The tasting was exceptional, offering a glimpse into ancient culture. This has been the highlight of our time in Costa Rica. I'm not accustomed to pure cacao, so those sensitive might want to limit it to one serving, but it's so tasty that I found it hard to stop at just one.
Sergio provided an impressive amount of knowledge about Cabo, coffee, and sugar cane. We gained new insights despite already being familiar with cacao and coffee. The tasting experience was excellent, and Sergio's friendly and fun demeanor made him a fantastic tour guide.
Juan was charming, knowledgeable, patient, and funny. The tour was enjoyable, featuring three delicious demonstrations and tastings.
I gained a wealth of knowledge! Juan customized the tour to our preferences and had a great sense of humor, explaining each step of the chocolate-making process. We sampled many new flavors while enjoying fun swings and chatting like long-time friends. I recommend this as a relaxed, informative, and tasty activity during your travels.
The meal was incredible, and we gained a lot of knowledge about Costa Rican cuisine and medicinal plants.
