While you can swim and slide off the boat, snorkeling gear is available at no extra cost for those wanting to explore underwater. Expect a fun and relaxing atmosphere throughout the cruise, with a Costa Rican-style lunch served on morning tours and dinner during sunset trips. There’s no shortage of comfort with four bathrooms and showers onboard.

The experience was fantastic, with everything being quite good, including the delicious food. However, the captain's demeanor was a bit off; he was rude when I asked him a question, which was disappointing for both me and my wife. He should work on his attitude, especially given his position.
An experience not to overlook! Everything was fantastic from beginning to end. The crew was incredibly friendly. The views were stunning throughout the trip. Snorkeling took place in a perfect location, where a crew member joined us and even dove underwater to bring up a purple starfish. We saw plenty of fish. The slide was enjoyable, and I loved relaxing on the net; it was so peaceful I could have easily fallen asleep, though I didn't want to miss anything. The dinner was exceptional, and the sunset was beautiful. I highly recommend this activity.

The crew was fantastic, creating a vibrant atmosphere that truly embodied the spirit of PURA VIDA. My children had a delightful experience, and we will definitely choose Ocean King for our next visit. The shuttle service was impressive, providing convenient pick-up and drop-off at our Airbnb, which added an extra layer of safety, especially as we enjoyed the delicious mixed drinks offered during the excursion. There was also a professional photographer on board who captured great moments for passengers upon request. On the downside, I was concerned about safety protocols for those who snorkeled. While the snorkeling gear was excellent and life jackets met safety standards, there were no procedures in place for tracking who went snorkeling away from the boat, despite being supervised. A headcount was not conducted for those who returned, which I believe could improve safety measures (similar to practices in the movie Open Water). Additionally, having two crew members to oversee snorkelers would enhance safety, and equipping them with an OceanAlpha Dolphin 3 powered life buoy would be beneficial. It’s worth noting the snorkeling site is a mile from shore, providing some safety measures, but I feel more precautions would be advantageous. However, don’t let my feedback deter you; the snorkeling experience occurs near other vessels, ensuring multiple points of visibility. Overall, it was enjoyable for the entire family.
I had a wonderful experience on the walk from 2 PM to 6 PM, accompanied by a stunning sunset. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional. We enjoyed views of Manuel Antonio Park, followed by a swim and a meal of fish, vegetables, chips, and dough, all culminating in the beauty of the sunset. Non-alcoholic drinks were provided along with four complimentary alcoholic beverages per person. I highly recommend this activity without any reservations.
I strongly recommend this experience. The staff is friendly and excellent, and the facility is very clean. The lunch was superb, especially the tuna with the outstanding maracuyá dressing.
I had an incredible experience on the boat tour, which lasted around 4 hours from start to finish. The afternoon tour featured a very entertaining and friendly staff. As a solo traveler, I felt completely at ease and safe, making it easy to connect with fellow guests. The beach where we swam was calm and secure. I highly recommend this—10 out of 10! The package included four complimentary alcoholic drinks, fruit, and a delicious full dinner.
I regret spending $89 on this experience. Instead of enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, I felt our noise polluted it and disturbed its wildlife. Although I booked this to see marine life, the animals seemed to matter the least during the trip. The loud music played throughout made it impossible to relax as speakers were everywhere. We were told on board not to expect to see whales since it wasn’t the season, and we were fortunate to spot just four dolphins briefly. The snorkeling was disappointing, lasting about 30 minutes around a single rock, and rough seas made visibility poor. After returning to the ship, I felt dizzy from the motion and couldn’t enjoy the drinks, which were just soda with salt and lemon. I wasn’t able to eat dinner either because I felt terrible the entire way back, and when I asked if I could take my meal to go, they had no containers. I also reached out to customer service to express my concerns but haven’t received a response. If you truly appreciate nature, I suggest looking for other options.
The Catamaran was a wonderful selection, with very helpful staff and a plentiful lunch. The photo service available for purchase was a nice touch, although there was limited time for snorkeling or swimming.
