My boyfriend initially wanted me to skip this tour since we had just done a waterfall excursion two days earlier, thinking it would be unexciting. He was pleasantly surprised and grateful I continued with it. Our guide, Jimmy, was incredibly knowledgeable, showcasing his passion for nature and animals. We spotted various wildlife, including anoles, birds, and iguanas, and he shared a wealth of information about them. I always felt secure during the rough drive. We crossed stunning bridges and enjoyed a swim in a waterfall. To cap off the day, we had a fantastic meal at a local's home, one of the best we experienced during our trip. Jimmy also took wonderful photos for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and Jimmy.
What an incredible experience. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, sharing insights on the health benefits of local fruits and vegetables. The lunch featured regional specialties, and the freshly prepared sugar cane was delightful, with the opportunity to make it ourselves. The woman who cooked and served our food and coffee was also very friendly and eager to share her knowledge.
Edward was incredibly friendly, and we had a wonderful full-day experience. The location was beautiful and clean, and the food was the best we’ve tasted in Costa Rica.
Our time with the guide, Jose, was fantastic. Being part of a small group allowed us to receive personalized attention. Jose was knowledgeable and took the time to highlight wildlife during our trip from the falls, which we would have missed otherwise. It was an enjoyable and genuine experience.
We participated in the Campesino tour with our guide, Jimmy, despite the heavy rain. He was a safe driver and shared a wealth of information about Quepos and its surroundings. Upon reaching the Campesino reserve, he kindly offered to take photographs of our walk through the forest and on the hanging bridges, where the colors were stunning. Although we couldn't swim in the waterfalls due to high water levels, the tour was still very worthwhile. A highlight was the warm hospitality from Corona and Victor at lunchtime in their home, where we enjoyed homemade casado, sugarcane juice, and explored their garden. This local experience truly made the Campesino tour exceptional.
The guide was enthusiastic about showing us around. Although the trip was a bit challenging due to the pathways and the poor road conditions, the food was enjoyable.
Our day with our guide, Jimmy, was truly exceptional. The truck journey to Los Campesinos offered stunning views and valuable insights from Jimmy, who is clearly passionate about the forest, wildlife, and insects. We gained a wealth of knowledge from him. Swimming in the natural pool was wonderful, and lunch was delightful and enjoyable. Corona and her family were incredibly kind. Additionally, Jimmy captured many photos and videos of our experience and shared them with us afterward. I highly recommend this tour; it was fantastic.
Jose picked us up at our hotel and navigated some rough terrain to take us to Los Campesinos, just over an hour from Manuel Antonio. The mountainous scenery was stunning, a refreshing change from the M.A. area, and the waterfalls and hanging bridges met our expectations. Swimming in the waterfall pool was especially enjoyable after a warm morning of hiking. A delightful surprise was the home-cooked traditional lunch they provided, accommodating our vegetarian requests. Jose was patient and let us take our time with each activity. My only recommendation for improvement would be for Efrain's Tours to offer more details about the tour expectations, as I wasn't informed about lunch or swimming beforehand, only from other reviews. Despite being slightly pricier than other tours, it was truly worthwhile.
What an incredible day! I highly recommend this tour, especially with Efrain Tours. Our guide Jimmy was outstanding. We received excellent insights into Costa Rican culture and the ecosystem. The lunch was fantastic!
I highly recommend this experience. Our guide Jimmy was fantastic—very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and plants. The hikes to the hanging bridges were manageable but felt rewarding. The bridges were secure; one person in our group, who was afraid of heights, managed just fine. The views were stunning, and swimming at the waterfall was a refreshing bonus. The homemade meal was the best we had on any of our tours.
