The tour of Soweto was truly remarkable. Sipho proved to be a fantastic guide, sharing his extensive knowledge about the area. It was an immersive experience that allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty and stories of Soweto. I would highly recommend this to anyone, as it was one of the highlights of our time in South Africa.
Our day exploring Soweto with Sipho was truly exceptional. He not only covered the highlights but also offered us insight into everyday life in the area. Highly recommend this experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed my exploration of Soweto with Sipho. His extensive knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience incredibly informative. He not only shared fascinating historical insights about the area but also ensured the tour was enjoyable, always maintaining a friendly demeanor.
We were collected from friends' places in Pretoria and taken to the Apartheid Museum, followed by a visit to Soweto, which included Desmond Tutu's house, Mandela's house, and the Petersen memorial. Our guide was excellent, providing clear and patient explanations throughout, even during the basic lunch.
Our exploration of Soweto was fantastic, thanks to our insightful guide Mulalo. He led us through key historical sites, interesting shops, and diverse neighborhoods. Riding around in a tuktuk added to the fun. I highly recommend this tour.
The guide and the company provided excellent care for us. Communication was great, and we had a wonderful time as a local guide shared fascinating history and insights about the sites. We concluded with a delicious local lunch. This is an experience you shouldn't overlook and we highly endorse it.
Exploring Soweto in a tuk tuk with Mulalo Mphuma was an exhilarating and enlightening adventure. He guided us deep into the township, illustrating the differences between neighborhoods and sharing impactful stories from his own experience in the Kliptown Youth Program. He also introduced us to the local "cheese boys and girls" slang, which I can't wait to use at home. We ended our tour near Mandela’s house, picked up great items from local vendors, and savored a tasty lunch in the township. It was a memorable and dynamic way to immerse ourselves in the true essence of Soweto.
We enjoyed a fascinating three-hour tuk-tuk tour with Mulalo. He expertly guided us through Soweto, sharing insights about the area's history and daily life. This is truly the best way to experience it.
Experiencing Soweto by Tuk-Tuk was a much better choice than joining a crowded bus tour. With just two travelers and our knowledgeable, friendly guide, we were able to ask as many questions as we liked. Our itinerary included three stops: one at the site of the June 1976 student uprising, where our guide explained the significance, another at Nelson Mandela’s house, with a brief tour by a local guide, and a stop for photos at the artistic cooling towers. We opted not to stop at Desmond Tutu’s home or for lunch, and our guide easily accommodated our preferences. This allowed us more time to explore the different neighborhoods of Soweto. The only downside was the noise from the Tuk-Tuk, which required us to lean forward to hear the guide clearly, and he occasionally had to repeat himself.
Mulalo, a Soweto native, guided us through the entire area, showcasing everything from affluent neighborhoods to less fortunate communities by the train tracks, along with local bars and fashionable streetwear. His knowledgeable and inclusive approach made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend it. If safety is a concern, traveling through Soweto in the tuktuk felt secure, and the locals are eager to share their stories. Join the adventure!
