Harties Aerial Cableway

The Harties Aerial Cableway is a 1.2-kilometre cable car that ascends 600 metres up the Magaliesberg Mountains, offering sweeping views of Hartbeespoort Dam and the surrounding valleys. Opened in 2016, its sleek cabins transport visitors to the top of the mountain, where a platform awaits with panoramic viewpoints and walking trails. A visit here takes about an hour if you just want to ride, but allow more time to explore the walking paths and enjoy refreshments at the summit café. The best time to go is early morning or late afternoon to appreciate the softer light and avoid the heat. On weekends, it can get busy, so plan accordingly.
