Forty-five minutes on foot through Poznań's oldest neighbourhoods, featuring local insights and self-paced exploration.
This self-guided audio tour offers an independent way to explore Poznań's two oldest neighbourhoods, complete with compelling narratives from local producer Wiktor Marcinkowski. You can cover the highlights in about forty-five minutes, but the format allows for stopping to delve deeper at points of interest at your own pace.
After booking, you'll receive a ticket with instructions and a unique code to access the tour via the VoiceMap app, which provides turn-by-turn directions and works offline. You'll begin at the designated starting point, simply plug in your headphones, and listen to the stories of Polish kings and the city's rich history that spans ten centuries. Unlimited access means you can revisit at your leisure, whether you're at home or exploring the streets.

The app's ability to recognize my location was beneficial, and I appreciated the flexibility to linger at each stop. However, I felt the tour was somewhat brief and lacked engaging points. I would have preferred an option to explore in greater detail.
The app is very user-friendly, providing automatic audio guidance that syncs with your phone's GPS location. The narrator shares extensive knowledge about the architecture and history of the site.
The Walkative tour was excellent! Suzanne was extremely knowledgeable, articulate, and responsive to a variety of questions. The only downside was the loud roadworks in the square, but it was still a worthwhile experience.
This walking tour is highly recommended. You explore Cathedral Island at your own pace while learning about its history and the area. It's designed to help you discover sights and places you might overlook otherwise. We enjoyed the tour so much that we followed up with his tour in the city center, which was an excellent experience as well.
This tour was an excellent choice—affordable, flexible, and packed with information. We appreciated the ability to go at our own pace and take breaks as needed. Initially, I encountered a problem with the download, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently through customer support. We're also able to revisit the tour after our first exploration. I would highly recommend it.
Fantastic guided tour, everything went smoothly and it was a great value. The guide communicated well in English and provided interesting explanations throughout. Thank you.
Poznań is such a charming town. I took a FlixBus from Berlin for a 2-day visit, and the 3-hour journey was both convenient and budget-friendly. Staying in the old town square was delightful, filled with numerous quaint shops and fantastic restaurants. I explored castles, museums, and enjoyed some incredible coffee shops. I highly recommend it.
The guide seemed completely unaware of my location, leaving me confused about what I was meant to see. It felt like a total waste of money, especially since there weren't any proper walking tours offered.
Descending into the salt mines offers two options: navigating a long staircase or taking a lift for a fee. Once inside, visitors can explore an incredible network of passageways filled with artefacts and stunning sculptures created by miners, including one illustrating the Last Supper. There are also smaller private chapels available for viewing with prior arrangements. The lift ride back up is complimentary, and there are shops and cafes on-site.
We have just returned from the Pearls of Poland tour with a custom 2-day extension, and it was an exceptional experience. Grzegorz from Exciting Poland was fantastic in helping us plan and provided valuable information, always responding quickly to our queries. The tour was a comprehensive journey through the region's highlights, and we truly appreciated the small group size which enhanced our experience. Our guide and driver, Witek, was outstanding. He catered to all our needs, offered excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights during our free time, and shared his extensive knowledge of Poland. We had meaningful conversations and gained so much insight. During our extension, we connected with our heritage by locating our grandparents' birthplace, which was a deeply moving experience. We fell in love with Poland, its people, history, and beauty, and look forward to returning, using Exciting Poland for our future travels. We wholeheartedly recommend them.
