As with all Walkative tours, this experience was informative and worth every effort and expense. I had to pay with a large bill since I had no change, but I did so gladly as it was truly worthwhile.
The tour was led by a knowledgeable and engaging young woman. It's essential to fully appreciate the beauty of Poznan. We started at Freedom Square, explored the castle and Old Town, and enjoyed the spectacle of the goats at noon.
Alessandra provided an excellent explanation. Her genuine passion for her city shines through constantly as she guides you around downtown. This is a must-do experience.
While it was somewhat informative and offered access to places I wouldn't have found on my own, this tour fell short as an example of a free walking tour. There was a lack of cohesive narrative, with the guide providing disjointed explanations and many dates, turning the experience into a scattered history lesson that focused excessively on the distant past. The guide assumed prior knowledge, mentioning topics like the partitions of Poland without proper context, which likely left many participants confused. Unlike other engaging free tours I've experienced in places like Manchester and Sarajevo, this tour failed to captivate. Unfortunately, Poznan seems to lack compelling free walking tours, which is unfortunate since a good one could greatly enhance the appeal of this lovely city.
Justine was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and appreciated the additional insights she provided. Her grandmother's story will always stay with me.
I had an excellent experience on the walking tour with Susan. She was knowledgeable and shared the town's history and current events effectively. We timed it perfectly to see the goats at the clock tower. Her clear English made it easy to follow. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour included important sites, and the guide shared insights that are likely not found in standard travel guides. However, the experience could have improved with better functioning audio equipment and more fluent English from the guide.
This tour was truly wonderful, and Margret was exceptional. She provided a wealth of information, and I gained a deeper understanding of Poznan and Polish history.
The concept was excellent, but the execution in Poznan fell short. Although Tom put in effort, his English was somewhat awkward and he spoke too softly at times, making it difficult for us to follow him. He seemed a bit disoriented during the tour. Despite our efforts to focus, we have experienced better tours in the past.
Our walk was quite limited, mainly just around the square. While Tomasz was friendly, we struggled with his English and understanding the stories he shared. Nevertheless, the church was stunning.
