Getting started was a frustrating experience; it took me three college degrees, 45 minutes, and a call to customer service just to obtain the correct code. We couldn't access the second location, so we decided to go to a bar instead. However, we ended up trespassing on a pier and spent 90 minutes there, which was enjoyable.
This was a really enjoyable experience with friends. If you're looking for a unique way to bond and learn more about Portsmouth, this is the perfect choice.
We were unsure of what to do for our date, but this activity seemed like a great option, and it really was enjoyable. One note: you don't necessarily need to go to the designated 0 feet location for check-in; you can check in elsewhere and likely still be fine.
Our group of three women in our 60s enjoyed this adventure during a girls' getaway. It was a really enjoyable way to discover parts of Portsmouth that are often overlooked.
Having previously enjoyed a scavenger hunt in Springfield, Massachusetts, I chose to book this one for my husband's birthday, as our family had a great time with the first. This scavenger hunt was undoubtedly superior to the previous one. We had an excellent experience searching for locations and solving clues to progress. We thoroughly enjoyed it and strongly recommend it. Thank you!
After paying $25 and downloading the app, we couldn't activate the self-guided tour. The activation code was missing from the site, app, and emails, so we wasted 30 minutes trying to troubleshoot before calling the help line, which was unhelpful. We even tried going to the tour's starting point in hopes of scanning a QR code, but that didn't work either. While others seemed to have good experiences, ours was frustrating due to the lack of support.
Once we became familiar with the Let’s Roam app, our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The initial setup was not straightforward, and we spent significant time figuring out how to get the scavenger hunt running on everyone's phone. It wasn't clear from the description that each participant needed a separate ticket, but it is required so everyone can take on a role and participate fully. Additionally, be aware that photos taken within the app lack location data and other metadata usually captured by a phone's camera. Despite these initial hurdles, the actual experience was enjoyable. It provided a fun and creative way to explore the area with family, and we would certainly recommend it.
I wouldn’t assign even one star to this experience. The directions provided were extremely unclear in every way. Their no refund policy is highly unprofessional. Overall, the App appears designed to guarantee failure.
Exploring the city in this manner was quite enjoyable, but the app's instructions were unclear, which resulted in us wasting a significant amount of time.
I highly recommend this for a fun family outing. Our group included 5 adults and 2 children. With one adult using the app and another on Waze, it was manageable and enjoyable with the kids along!
