For this tour, it's essential to be either fluent in Portuguese or have a bilingual friend to help with translation. Our group of five consisted of four passengers and a driver who also served as our tour guide. Although I had requested a guide fluent in both Portuguese and English, I was informed this might not be possible for our scheduled tour. It would have been a complete waste without my bilingual host assisting with translations. The vehicle for our tour was a very clean, modern Toyota, and from what I gathered, the guide had a good knowledge of the city’s attractions. One significant benefit of having a private tour was the freedom to skip over less interesting stops and spend more time at places that piqued our interest. Additionally, we could choose our pickup point within Porto Alegre and also be dropped off at a different location after the tour.
