We had an incredible experience. My family and I spent our second leg of the Maine vacation near Portland and arranged a private sunset cruise with a chef as a surprise for our mom. It truly became a highlight of our trip. We were fortunate to enjoy excellent weather. The captain skillfully guided us through the bay without any sea sickness, while our hostess was fantastic at answering all our questions and sharing insights about this stunning area. However, the star of the show was our chef, who prepared the most delicious meals in a very small area. If you're on the fence about booking this cruise—or, I suspect, any of their offerings—don’t hesitate. Our family had a fantastic experience, and if we ever find ourselves in the region again, we would certainly book another cruise. It was the perfect way to conclude a memorable vacation on our second to last night.
Our initial doubts about this tour being “hokey” quickly vanished as we enjoyed our time on the boat. Captain Zach was exceptionally professional, prioritizing safety and offering ideal views at every stop. First Mate Jason, a local like Zach, provided an abundance of historical insights while also allowing us space to converse. Chef Jody prepared a delightful six-course meal that rivaled fine dining, beautifully presented and made with locally sourced ingredients. We regretted having a heavy lunch, but the take-out boxes ensured we wasted nothing. This experience is undoubtedly a must-do in Portland.
We enjoyed our second outing on this boat just as much as the first. It was a comfortable, relaxing, and enlightening experience exploring Casco Bay, complemented by wine and a lovely charcuterie platter. The captain and first mate were outstanding, making it a highlight of our weekend.

Maria, the Deck Hand, provided just the right amount of attention and shared fascinating historical insights about each island we passed. Captain Nick ensured a smooth three-hour journey on a clean, wooden boat, perfect for our romantic dinner. Our private sunset cruise was a wonderful experience for three couples. Despite the weather not allowing us to see the sunset, we loved the trip around Casco Bay. The boat had a cover that kept us dry during the rain. Jack, our host, was fantastic; he engaged with us and answered all our questions about the region. We appreciated Jack's knowledge and humor, which made for a fun experience.
