The sailboat has historical significance, and the bay is beautiful, but the crew may not provide much information. When there's little wind, instead of using the motor, you'll just sit and drift without reaching the sights.
This was a delightful and straightforward cruise. The crew engaged with guests, providing information and conversation. It was peaceful, allowing us to truly appreciate the sound of the water against the hull as we floated along. This was our favorite among the four short cruises we took on the Maine coast.

This was an enjoyable two-hour adventure with a very friendly crew. The schooner departed and arrived right on schedule. The winds that day were a bonus, allowing us to set the sails.
The boat trip was enjoyable, calming, and entertaining, with a very friendly crew. However, I was only informed about the change in meeting location at the last minute, and I didn’t receive actual tickets through the app.
A wonderful couple of hours spent exploring the harbor. With a mid-afternoon flight, this was the ideal morning activity. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The new Celebrity cruise ship Excel was a letdown and felt uninspired. While it is large and visually appealing, there is no library, game room, or regular furniture around the pool. We were informed we could utilize any available space, but not all area managers agreed with this. The 5th floor’s theme has turned into a shop selling Mexican goods, along with a music and bar area, which we found to be a wasted opportunity. The nightly menus lacked originality and seemed repetitive, making us feel obligated to dine at specialty restaurants. This cruise seemed geared towards seniors, as there were many scooters, walkers, and wheelchairs observed. There are multiple bars, a larger casino, and elevated seating in the enclosed pool area that offers a pleasant view outside. It would be beneficial to have gliders for those heavy dining chairs on any ship. As a long-time cruiser, this experience felt more like a floating bar, and it might be time to explore different travel options.
The captain and crew were exceptional and genuinely friendly, just like the woman at the intake. I enjoyed the first trip so much that I booked a sunset sail for the second time. It’s good for the soul and a lot of fun! Bring a jacket, though, as it can get breezy when the sails are full and moving. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you!
