I had a fantastic time. The guides were excellent and very patient. I would definitely participate in this tour again and highly recommend it for cyclists of all skill levels.
The bikes were nice and the guides were great. However, the tour ended up having 14 riders instead of the maximum of 8 stated by Viator, as some participants signed up directly with the bike tour company.
This was an outstanding trip. Guides Scott and Molly were exceptional. The weather was ideal, and the 15-mile bike ride offered stunning views. It was an excellent way to explore Portland and capture images of the lighthouses. They provided great insights about Portland and Maine. We also enjoyed the best lobster roll we've ever had! I highly recommend this experience.
The bike ride offered stunning views, but navigating through the city’s heavy traffic was challenging. The guides were fantastic, but the bike situation was problematic. There weren't enough suitable bikes for everyone, and I ended up on a boys' bike despite being female, which made mounting and dismounting difficult and led to multiple falls. This was quite frustrating, especially since I have a bad back. The tour seemed overloaded due to the busy and crowded town, with frequent stops and starts.
Traveling with Molly and a small group made for a wonderful experience. The weather was perfect, and the tour became one of the highlights of our trip. Molly guided us to stunning locations around the island, culminating in a delightful picnic at the lighthouse featuring amazing lobster rolls. We explored many beautiful sights, and Molly ensured we could pause for photos whenever we wanted. With just four of us and two other women on the tour, it felt intimate and safe. Molly is an exceptional guide who made our day truly memorable, and we highly recommend this tour.
The urban route was a little intimidating, but overcoming that challenge made the experience truly rewarding. It was absolutely worth the early wake-up call. With frequent stops and a solid historical overview, I'd classify it as an advanced beginner level. Elise was supportive and focused on ensuring our safety.
The tour had more hills and road cycling than I expected, but the guides ensured everyone felt at ease and enjoyed themselves.
The ride to the five lighthouses was an enjoyable mix of easy to moderate difficulty. I appreciated the beautiful views, and the guides shared plenty of interesting information and trivia throughout. Ending the tour with a delicious lobster roll was a fantastic touch.
My wife and I took part in the 5 Lighthouse Bike Tour guided by Rick, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Rick proved to be an excellent guide, sharing fascinating historical insights about each lighthouse and the coastal towns we passed. The ride featured stunning scenery and was conducted at a comfortable pace, with ample opportunities to appreciate the views and learn about Maine's maritime traditions. Rick ensured we felt at ease on our bikes and tailored the pace to suit us. The lighthouses were striking, and cycling along the coast provided a wonderful way to appreciate them. Rick's passion and local expertise truly enriched the experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Maine's iconic lighthouses while enjoying a pleasant bike ride. Thank you, Rick!
This was my second time on this must-do tour. The guides are fantastic, the riding is smooth, and the scenery is unforgettable. The lobster rolls are outstanding.
