Understanding that whales are wild animals, we were thrilled to see two Fin Tail whales, with one nearly 100 yards from our boat at the season's end. Coming from a coastal town, I felt prepared for offshore conditions. We were fortunate with calm seas of 1-2 feet. The guides were respectful and knowledgeable. While the boat was somewhat small, this was clearly a whale watching trip rather than a leisure cruise. Embrace the adventure!
This experience was incredibly disappointing. The directions were inadequate, even with GPS. We arrived at 8:30 but found no one there. I received calls at 8:46 and 8:55, but no one answered. When I finally got through after departure time, I was told that the fee was non-refundable despite having paid in full. I cannot recommend this to anyone. We ended up going with a competitor and had a fantastic time.
The experience was incredible. Captain Randy went above and beyond to make sure we spotted whales, and we certainly did! First Mate Neil shared captivating stories and facts with us. I would happily do it again.
We had a fantastic time getting up close to the whales, seeing five whales and one shark. Chris and Neal were terrific, providing details about the whales and their behavior. The morning was mostly calm with low winds, making the boat ride pleasant compared to some rougher experiences on similar boats. Be prepared to brace yourself over the swells, as it feels similar to riding a horse or dirt bike. We also appreciated the historical context regarding whale hunting and conservation efforts, along with the respectful distance maintained from these magnificent creatures. The three-hour duration felt just right for us.
Our experience with Captain Randy and Neil was fantastic. The boat ride felt like an exciting roller coaster, paired with the incredible chance to see whales—such a fun and distinct adventure compared to other tours I've taken. The small group size was definitely a big advantage.
This was an exhilarating experience as we spotted whales during an exciting ride. The captain and co-captain were friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring we saw whales before the trip concluded. If you're seeking both whale watching and a fun jet boat adventure, I highly recommend it.
There are no guarantees of spotting whales or any sea life on this tour. It was a letdown because we didn’t see anything and returned about thirty minutes early. While the weather was lovely, the lack of wildlife made it even more frustrating. The crew could benefit from having engaging stories ready for times when wildlife is scarce. Paying over $200 felt excessive for what turned out to be a dull boat ride. I think if we had seen animals, it would have improved the experience significantly since this tour allows for close contact with the water compared to others.
The Zodiac ride was incredibly enjoyable. We spotted 2-3 Finn whales along with numerous spouts. Make sure to bring warm clothing, as it gets quite chilly when the Zodiac speeds up.
Randy and Neil provided an excellent experience, and we enjoyed a wonderful ride. We spotted finback whales, tuna, and dolphins during our trip. Spending three hours on a smaller boat added to the uniqueness compared to larger vessels.
The whale watching tour was canceled by the operator because of high waves. They were accommodating to deal with and are processing a refund.
