I hired a driver for the day, who was a pleasant man. A few things to keep in mind: locals will charge at least $25 AUD at each stop to swim at their beaches. Mele Beach isn’t worth it as it’s quite dirty, and Hideaway Island is nearby Mele Waterfall, with entry costing $45 if you want to visit, but free if you're just swimming in the pond. The Blue Lagoon is $20 and is likely the best deal; it’s really nice. I had an itinerary, but the driver preferred not to go as it was too lengthy for him, even though we finished early. Be prepared for poor road conditions, which will require extra time due to potholes.
The tour was excellent. Julian served as both our driver and guide, and he did an outstanding job. We had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Booking with Yumi Tours is something I highly recommend. Chris provided an exceptional experience today; his professionalism and great suggestions for activities were invaluable. Although we initially scheduled our tour for Tuesday, the port was closed due to bad weather, yet our original booking was honored today. We accomplished everything we wished to do, and thanks to Chris's expertise in navigating back roads, we returned to the dock with ample time to spare.
Kris, our driver, was excellent. He was attentive to our group’s needs, making for a truly fantastic day.
