The highlight of our trip to Vanuatu was definitely this place. The water is crystal clear, and we enjoyed convenient transfers from the owner, who shared valuable insights about local life and customs. Our four kids had a fantastic time; the older two loved the suspension bridges and zip line, while the younger ones were captivated by the playground. We had to pull them away from the river at closing time, as they were having too much fun on the inflatable tires and small rapids. We also opted for the BBQ lunch, which was hefty and satisfying, and the fruit platter included an intriguing local fruit called Sapodilla that was delicious. I can’t stop recommending this spot. It was a soothing environment for our family, and had we visited earlier, we would have returned. This place is truly exceptional. The owner's dedication to staff and fluency in the local language makes her a real gem in Vanuatu.
The river, cascades, and forest are stunning. I enjoyed walking in the forest and swimming in the river. The restaurant and bar offered a nice atmosphere, and the whole place was clean and well-kept. The bathrooms and changing facilities are among the best I've seen in Vanuatu, and there's a playground for kids. The swimming area in the river is safe and tidy. However, the Bridges of Eden feels a bit overpriced and isn't particularly thrilling. You only get to walk over a few swing bridges with a single short zipline. I suggest opting for the lower price entry to the swimming area, which allows access to the same beautiful river without crossing the bridges. I wanted a longer nature walk, but it turned out to be short. The staff were all courteous and accommodating. I would highly recommend Eden on the River over the other spot further downstream.
A fantastic escape of tropical flora. After being dropped off at the reception, you gear up in harnesses to walk through the rainforest and navigate three wooden and rope bridges, concluding with a brief zip line. The experience feels very secure, with staff assisting at each rack stop to transfer your carabiner to the next ropes. It ends at a stunning swimming pool nestled among waterfalls that you can slide down. We took our granddaughters, aged 6 and 9, and they managed everything easily, as they are quite adventurous.
I booked directly rather than going through the cruise line, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. It felt very safe and was well-organized; I would definitely do it again. Just a tip: bring reef shoes or something similar for swimming, as some of the rocks can be somewhat sharp.
While on a P&O Encounter cruise, we chose to revisit Eden on the River, having previously enjoyed our time there. Once again, we were greeted warmly in a vibrant atmosphere. Despite a light drizzle, our rainforest-like experience was delightful, just as we remembered, thanks to the attentive staff known as Eden's Angels. We began with the hanging bridges walk, followed by refreshing water experiences and strolls through the estate, engaging with the caretakers about the joys and challenges of life in paradise. We even had the chance to taste the garden's tropical fruits during a gathering. Soon it was time to head back to the cruise ship terminal, leaving Eden with fond memories and anticipation for our next visit.
This was a fantastic experience. The views were breathtaking, the walk across the bridge was enjoyable, and the swim was refreshing. The owner provided convenient pickup and drop-off in Port Vila. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. I highly recommend this activity.
If you're seeking a refreshing swim in fresh water, this is a good option. We stopped by for a dip and enjoyed a nice hour relaxing in the water. It wasn't crowded, which was great since we were on a cruise.
Both our kids and my mom had a great time here. The highlights were definitely swimming with the inner tubes and the rope swing.
I strongly recommend this experience. We arranged our own tour rather than going through the cruise company. We were picked up from the harbor and dropped off in town afterward since we wanted to experience the independence celebration. The rainforest walk, swing bridges, zipline, and swim in the river were fantastic, giving us ample time to enjoy everything. Afterward, we were treated to a tasting platter of various fruits, which was very delicious.
The property is stunning and provided an enjoyable experience for the entire family. It was an excellent introduction to ziplining for the kids, and there’s also a small playground and minigolf available.
