This tour is intended for guests staying at hotels in Port Vila and is not available to cruise ship passengers. Pickup is provided from your Port Vila hotel. Remember to bring swimwear and sunscreen if you're planning to enjoy the beaches or waterfalls.

We had a fantastic day thanks to the friendly team, Spencer and Grace, from Bountiful Tours and Transfers in Vanuatu. They arranged a personalized half-day tour in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus that accommodated our family's diverse interests and ages. We enjoyed two quiet, safe beaches for snorkeling and swimming. Grace had previously organized our transfers to the resort, making her part of our wonderful experience. Despite the bumpy roads, we found the journey enjoyable, and Grace and Spencer were attentive to the two young children in our group. We appreciated being able to proceed at our own pace. During our visit on a Carnival cruise, Renee served as our driver and guide. He was fantastic, extremely helpful, and very kind. It was our first time in Vanuatu, and we found it to be beautiful and safe, with friendly and happy locals. The residents refer to it as paradise. We would certainly return and highly recommend this local tour over the expensive cruise options. The locals appreciated that we chose to book local services.
I strongly recommend Bountiful Tours for an exceptional day out. Our guide and driver, Kal, was fantastic. We visited the Blue Lagoon, Rarru Falls, and the Turtle Sanctuary, all of which were incredible experiences.
We enjoyed the Taste of the Tropics tour led by our guide Paul, along with two Australian women. Paul was punctual, which caught us off guard since we were expecting 'Island time.' We traveled in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus while Paul navigated the pothole-filled roads, which were worse than those in Victoria. Our first stop was Aelan chocolate factory, a small business offering a variety of dark chocolates. We sampled each type and ended up purchasing four different blocks. The talk from the lady there was both informative and engaging. Next, we headed to Blue Lagoon for swimming and exploring, which was a remarkable experience. Our final stop was a turtle sanctuary, where we walked in shallow waters among larger turtles—a truly fantastic moment. We enjoyed a lovely picnic-style lunch with great food and company while overlooking the beach. Throughout the day, Paul made sure to check how much time we wanted to spend at each location, and it worked out perfectly for all four of us. Paul was polite, knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. He proudly told us he was also the 'chef' for our lunch, and he was excellent. It was a wonderful day overall. Later, we realized we had accidentally left our chocolates in the van. However, three days later, I checked at reception and found out Paul had managed to return them to our resort, which involved a short boat ride. Thank you, Paul, for being such a decent person. The morning tour was enjoyable. The driver shared interesting information during our journey. I especially liked the chocolate tasting included in the visit to the chocolate factory.
My surprise golden birthday celebration in Vanuatu, organized by my husband, exceeded all expectations. I only learned about the trip at the airport. Our flight to Brisbane with Singapore Airlines in business class was very comfortable, followed by a smooth connection to Port Vila with Virgin Australia. Asha greeted us at the airport with a warm welcome, making us feel at home right away. Our transport to Mangoes Resort was organized, and we received a Vodafone SIM for five days along with a currency exchange for Vatu. The room at Mangoes was comfortable and well-equipped, and the staff were incredibly kind, surprising me with a bottle of champagne for my birthday. Over our three-day stay, we loved every moment, especially the beautiful garden and avocado tree at the resort. On the first day, after a great breakfast, we visited the chocolate factory with Spenser and Adam from Bountiful, who were wonderful companions. The cultural experience village offered valuable insights into local sustainable living, and we thoroughly enjoyed the dances and songs. We also visited the turtle attraction and had a relaxing massage on a secluded beach, which was expertly done by BI AN CA, who can be requested through Asha. Afterward, we had lunch and fruit platters at Blue Lagoon, then spent the evening at Banyan Bar. The walk back to Mangoes was pleasant, as we interacted with friendly locals and enjoyed the atmosphere of a local carnival, 'Vanuatu Made.' On our second day with Spencer and Helena, we explored a local vegetable market where we bought some raspberries and tasted local fruits, Nangas and Navels. Despite the rain and potholes, the ride to Pele Island was enjoyable, and we learned about past storms that affected the area. We had the beach to ourselves and enjoyed the grounding feeling of the white sands. The snorkeling at Hideaway Island was fantastic, and I was particularly impressed by the fire show at the Beach Bar—it was one of the best I've ever seen. On our final day, we took it easy, enjoying a highly recommended beef steak at Stone Grill before heading back to Mangoes to pack. Bountiful Tours and Transfers ensured a memorable and comfortable experience for us in Vanuatu. Special thanks to Asha, Stephan, Adam, and Helena for their contributions to our wonderful vacation.
