We had an enjoyable day overall with our guide, Ahmed Essam, who provided a wealth of historical information at each stop. The pyramids were definitely the highlight. The drive from the cruise port to Cairo is long, but they were accommodating when we needed a bathroom break. I rated it a 4 because we felt rushed at the end, especially at the museum, where I wished we could have spent more time. There was a lot of setup for Instagram photos, and if I had known the schedule, I would have preferred less of that. We opted not to ride camels since it would take time away from our museum visit, which I now view positively. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch at a great spot. If you’re considering this tour, be clear about your priorities given time constraints. While it was a private tour, our guide left us with driver Sajed Taha, who spoke no English. We faced a language barrier during a bathroom break, which made communication difficult, but he was helpful. We also encountered heavy traffic, but our driver was adept at navigating it. Although we had some challenges, everything turned out fine, and I would book this tour again with a clearer understanding of how to manage my time.
The private tour to the Pyramids of Giza, the market, and the museum during the day was excellent. The evening dinner on the Nile, accompanied by music and a show, was magnificent. A special thanks to Tayso, Josep, and Rewan, who are remarkable guides fluent in Spanish and exemplify the warmth of the Egyptian people. Meeting such kind-hearted individuals is truly a wonderful experience in life.
Kareem was a fantastic host who took great care to ensure we visited all the sights we wanted to see. His passion for Egyptian history and culture, along with his knowledge, truly enhanced the experience.
My wife and I have just returned to our cruise ship. Although we were exhausted, the excursion was fantastic. Our guide Karim demonstrated great responsibility and professionalism, staying with us throughout the day. We relished our visits to the pyramids, museum, and bazaar in Cairo. We are very satisfied with both his guidance and that of the driver, who made four trips to transport us safely, despite the long three-hour journey from Cairo to Port Said each way. We highly recommend Emo Tours Egypt.
Navigating Cairo can be difficult for female travelers, so having a tour guide made our experience much more enjoyable. We felt fortunate to have Sayyed Mahmoud, who tailored our day to our preferences. He was highly effective and communicated well, ensuring he understood our desires. Both our guide and driver were friendly and accommodating, making us feel like we had a big brother along for the journey. We highly recommend this tour.
I would like to praise both Mohammeds, the tour guide and the driver, for managing the tour despite challenging circumstances. Our cruise ship arrived late, causing a two-hour delay at the port and pushing our 12-hour tour back by four hours since it takes two hours to drive to Cairo. Despite the setbacks, we were able to visit the pyramids, grab a meal, and buy some souvenirs before returning. While we missed out on the museum and other attractions, seeing the pyramids was essential, and it would have been disappointing not to see one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Overall, our experience was enjoyable; the guide was knowledgeable and accommodating, making the most of our limited time. The driver navigated us back to the ship timely, working hard to maximize our experience despite the circumstances. We truly appreciated their efforts, although we wished we could have seen more, which was out of their control.
It was incredible to experience the pyramids and the Sphinx in person. We took a day trip from Port Said with Emo Tours, where our guide, Muhammad, and our driver, also named Muhammad, were exceptional. Our guide showed us the best photo spots and captured plenty of pictures of our group. We appreciated the opportunity to customize our trip, opting out of the pyramid gift shop. The included Egyptian lunch was excellent as well. Although the drive was long, it was enjoyable, and the sights at the destination made it all worthwhile.
Cairo is a lovely city, and the highlights of the tour were definitely the pyramids and the Sphinx. Both our guide and driver were exceptional, earning a perfect rating of 5 stars from us.
We had an excellent experience with Emo Tour's guide Muhammad and driver Waleed. They were dependable and punctual, offered a flexible itinerary, maintained good communication, and treated us like family. The drive from Port Said to Cairo is quite long, especially for the guide and driver who made the return trip twice, taking about three hours each way. They were easy to locate at the cruise port upon our arrival. We also arranged a day tour to Alexandria with the same guide and driver, which was just as enjoyable. If we return to Egypt, we will definitely choose them again for our tours.
We explored Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, and Al Rifai Mosque on March 18. The following day, March 19, we visited the Giza Plateau, the pyramids of Khufu, Khafrey, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, and the Sakkara pyramids.
