We had an amazing afternoon with our charming guide Ben. There were countless koalas, kangaroos, emus, and even a sleeping lizard. This outing should definitely not be missed.
Initially, I was unsure what to expect from the Koala experience, but it quickly became unforgettable. While you don't hold these lovely animals, you observe them in their natural environment, so close that you can smell their breath. We spotted 26 Koalas during our visit, which was a wonderful surprise.
This excursion was truly a highlight. We encountered numerous koalas, kangaroos, a variety of birds, and stunning landscapes. Our guide, Ben, was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and competent, sharing many fascinating anecdotes. If possible, I highly recommend requesting Ben as your guide. This informative trip is definitely worth it. At the end of the day, Ben also shares great photos taken during the adventure via Dropbox.
Michele and I took the "Count All The Koalas You Can See" tour, also referred to as the "Mikkira Station Koala Tour, Port Lincoln," guided by the attentive Ben. His sharp eyes allowed us to spot 38 koalas, along with some emus and kangaroos. While we didn't break the record of 50, we felt quite accomplished. Many koalas were resting on lower branches, making it easy to capture some selfies without causing them any disturbance. This tour provided a fantastic insight into Australia. Thank you, Ben. This tour offered an excellent wildlife adventure. Our guide, Ben, was fantastic, providing detailed explanations while showing us 33 koalas along with other animals such as kangaroos and emus. It was a distinctive experience that I truly enjoyed.
This tour was exceptional—both enjoyable and educational. Ben showcased impressive knowledge about nature, and I highly recommend him and his tours. He is also an excellent driver.
The shuttle service was fantastic and took away a lot of the stress, while our guide was very well-prepared for any situation, which made a big difference. It was also touching to see him provide water to koalas in the intense heat.
Ben provided excellent service by picking us up and returning us directly to the port. He was an outstanding guide, successfully spotting numerous koalas, along with several kangaroos and emus.
The experience was fantastic, providing close encounters with koalas and kangaroos. Our guide, Ben Yuan, was a delightful and very friendly person.
Our visit to Port Lincoln was initially for shark cage diving, but we decided to take the Koala Safari with Tour South on our free day, aligned with our desire to see wildlife in their natural environment. This experience became a highlight of our trip. We were fortunate to be the only two participants, allowing for a private tour with our guide Ben, who was exceptional. His extensive knowledge of local wildlife enriched the experience, offering fascinating insights into their behavior, and ensuring the tour felt relaxed and personal. We encountered almost 40 koalas and a number of kangaroos in the wild, just as we had envisioned. Ben also captured photos during the tour and kindly shared them with us afterward, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend this tour. If we had more time, we would definitely have included the Sand Dunes tour in our plans. While we came for the shark diving, we left with a newfound appreciation for the diversity of the Port Lincoln region, which offers so much more than most people know.
