You'll wade out into the water and sit at 'The Salt Water Pavilion', a semi-submerged deck in a commercial oyster farm. Interact with the oyster farm team to learn about oyster growth and farming methods.
The highlight is the tasting of Coffin Bay Oysters, known for their freshness. Options are available for adding a glass of Riesling or Champagne, as well as extra oysters, enhancing your culinary adventure.

It was a wonderful experience that was both entertaining and informative. Almost all of the senses were engaged throughout, and the waders fitting so well was a surprising and enjoyable aspect, just like the oysters.
Despite the wild weather, the experience was truly spectacular. Paul was an engaging and knowledgeable guide throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour, which included ample food, variety, and the best coffee imaginable. I learned more about oysters than I ever expected, even though we couldn’t venture out on the boat due to rough conditions. Overall, it was an enjoyable day.
What a remarkable experience! Donning waders and enjoying the constant humor from our guide made us laugh throughout. I was surprised by how fascinating oysters can be. The location is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the layout is impressive. I can't recommend this enough; it's an essential activity.
We had an incredible day at Coffin Bay Oyster Farm, truly the highlight of our visit to Port Lincoln and nearby locations. It was both educational and enjoyable. The oysters were the freshest we've ever tasted, complemented by a glass of Riesling. It was an excellent way to kick off New Year's Eve.
This experience was packed with knowledge, stunning views, and some of the best oysters I've ever tasted. The oysters were huge, and I learned how to shuck them. I even had the option to buy an extra half dozen and a glass of wine while wearing waders on the oyster farm. Truly a memorable once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The experience provided valuable insights into the history, varieties, and traits of oysters, thanks to an expert oyster farmer. Additionally, we enjoyed fresh oysters straight from the sea.
We enjoyed the transport and oyster farm package, including an oyster and seafood platter. Everything was excellent. Debbie ensured we got there and back safely while sharing insights about her area. Kimmy provided fantastic information about the working oyster farm, and we tasted the best oysters ever. Now we know how to shuck oysters. The seafood platter was impressive, beautifully prepared with a variety of seafood. Thank you.
We enjoyed the Oyster HQ tour along with lunch during our full-day trip. Our young Argentinean guide led us to the platform, teaching us how to shuck oysters while sharing the history of oyster farming on The Eyre Peninsula. She was charming, and I highly recommend this experience to anyone near Coffins Bay.
This was our first experience with oysters, and they were quite good! We learned about Coffin Bay and each had 4 oysters along with a seafood plate, getting to wear waders and shuck them ourselves. Unfortunately, the tide was too high to visit the farm, so we just stayed 8 feet from the shore. Given the $400 charged for three of us, I would have preferred to rent a car and drive to Coffin Bay instead. The location was lovely, and the food made the trip worthwhile. Kim, the owner, was fantastic, sharing insights about the local community and showing us emus and kangaroos on our return to Port Lincoln. All in all, it didn’t justify the cost we incurred. It’s better to drive yourself, buy some oysters, and explore the area.
The guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, surpassing our expectations. It was a very intriguing experience that I would definitely recommend.
