Sailing was an entirely new experience for me, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my wife and I were the only guests with Tracy, who welcomed us warmly at the dock. He quickly made us feel comfortable on his impressive sailboat, easing any initial apprehensions we had. The day turned out to be incredible, with perfect weather and a light breeze. The real gem, however, was Tracy himself. With a remarkable 50 years of sailing experience passed down from his father, he also shared his extensive knowledge of the area's geography and the history of the native tribes. His storytelling ability captured our attention, revealing fascinating tales from his travels worldwide. Despite his talents and intelligence, his humility and genuine nature stood out. The experience was so impactful that it became the highlight of our vacation. I felt enriched after sailing with Tracy, who showcased a deep love for people, sailing, and a respect for the environment and indigenous cultures. I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience; it will undoubtedly transform you. You will be charmed, entertained, and deeply impressed by a truly remarkable individual and his sailboat.
It was a truly beautiful and serene experience, exactly what we were looking for. This was our first sailing adventure, and it was fantastic.
This review might seem overly enthusiastic, but after an unforgettable three-hour experience for our group of four adults, here are the key points. The Ingrid Princess is a remarkable vessel with a rich history and has sailed globally, even solo by this Captain through the Pacific, including Oregon, Mexico, New Zealand, Japan, and Alaska. Despite her nearly 50 years, she remains in excellent condition. Captain Tracy possesses outstanding expertise and exceptional communication skills. His extensive knowledge of the local area made our time aboard feel much shorter in a wonderfully relaxing manner that encapsulated the joy of sailing. We enjoyed perfect weather with clear skies and pleasant winds, enhanced by stunning mountain views. The discussions were engaging, tailored to our interests and questions, and we gained valuable insights into sailing and boat handling while listening to Tracy’s incredible solo sailing adventures, which could easily become a bestselling novel. Thank you, Captain Hollister, for sharing your amazing experiences with us and providing a memorable sailing journey.
Taking a trip on the Ingrid Princess with Captain Tracy was one of the standout moments of my summer in 2025. As a Sequim resident for five years, I enjoyed this outing with friends from out of town. Captain Tracy's extensive knowledge of the sea and his deep respect for nature were truly impressive. I'm eager to bring more friends to experience this wonderful day on the water aboard the Ingrid Princess. If you're looking for a fantastic time on the water with a remarkable captain, this is the boat for you.
The experience was fantastic. Tracy is incredibly knowledgeable about sailing, the region, and the ocean, and he is exceptionally friendly, eager to share his insights. The boat was stunning, and even though it was a calm day, we had a great time searching for wind and whales. He let us take the wheel, which we really enjoyed. We would absolutely charter with Tracy again, possibly for a trip to Victoria or elsewhere.
