2Embark on a picturesque journey along the captivating North coast to arrive at the Nordeste region, a place often dubbed the "10th island" due to its isolation and beauty. As you explore this enchanting region, you'll discover it is the oldest geological formation on São Miguel, offering a breathtaking landscape adorned with rugged mountains, cliffs, lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and natural parks. The serene viewpoints that overlook the azure sea provide perfect spots for contemplation and photography, while the charming villages, each with its unique character, invite you to experience the local way of life. The Nordeste region, in particular, is a culinary gem where you can indulge in authentic dishes that showcase the rich flavors of the area. After savoring a delightful lunch, continue your expedition around the northeast part of the island, which leads to some breathtaking viewpoints along the coastline, including the oldest lighthouse in the Azores.
3Discover a region full of beautiful landscapes, lush landscapes and fantastic viewpoints. Visit the Gorreana Tea Plantations, the oldest tea plantations in Europe. See the oldest tea fields in Europe. Then head to the Furnas to explore the valley and dive into the thermal springs to relax and connect with nature. After visiting the thermas, stop for lunch at the Furnas. Try the famous mixed meat cooked or many of the other menu options. After lunch, visit the lagoon and stroll a little to appreciate the surrounding area. After the visit to the lagoon, it is time to go to Vila Franca to see the world famous island. Finish your Ponta Delgada tour with a visit to the pineapple plantations. NOTE: PICKUPS START AT 8:45. Please be ready at this time at the designated place. Reservations made less than 48 hours before the start of the tour may not allow the tour to be conducted in German, French or Spanish.
4Before heading towards the Furnas volcano, stop at the viewpoint of Santa Iria to observe the coastline. Visit Europe’s oldest tea plantation and try the unique teas made here. Next, go to Pico do Ferro and take in the spectacular panoramic views of the valley. Then you can see the unique process of the famous Furnas stew being cooked underground by the volcanic steam. Next, we will taste the dish you saw being cooked at a local restaurant. This is a great time to savor the flavors of this traditional meal. After, we'll explore the village of Furnas and see the impressive fumaroles and taste mineral waters known for their health benefits. Next, we'll visit the Terra Nostra Park, a botanical garden. The highlight is the thermal pool, heated by the volcanic steam. The return journey follows the beautiful south coast of the island and We finish our day in Vila Franca do Campo, the former capital of São Miguel, visiting the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace with a stunning view of the town.

Choose between two tour options: •Tour with lunch included, "cooked from the furnas" served on one day and a "regional food buffet" on the other, or; •Tour without lunch where you will have extra free time in the lunch break, the opportunity to buy food or simply bring snacks with you.
