These lingams are called Indralingam, Agnilingam, Yamalingam, Niruthilingam, Varunalingam, Vayulingam, Kuberlingam, and Esanyalingam. Each lingam represents a cardinal direction of the Earth and is believed to bless devotees who participate in Girivalam or Giriparikrama, a circumambulation of the Arunachal mountain practiced by many worshippers. • This significant hill is found in the temple town of Tiruvanamalai, and it is considered one of the oldest mountains globally by geologists.
