The libation tour of the Strip District was fantastic. As a new tour, it has significant potential to become popular in the area. Craig, our guide, shared insightful historical details about the Strip District. In our small group of out-of-town visitors, he struck a great balance between engaging discussions and allowing us time to explore the venues independently. We visited two wineries, two breweries, and two distilleries.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour; it was an excellent way to spend my Friday afternoon. Each of the five stops offered something different, and the main host along with the local hosts provided insightful information about their businesses and the surrounding history. I would happily participate in this tour again.
This was an excellent tour. We visited locations that we wouldn't have discovered or stopped at by ourselves. We also enjoyed drinks that we wouldn't have tried on our own. Hearing the area's history was a highlight.
I walked away feeling incredibly excited and informed about the city, having discovered new spots on the strip that I wouldn't usually visit but will certainly go back to.
We had a fantastic afternoon exploring the amazing places in Pittsburgh's Strip District to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. Our guide was friendly and provided interesting historical insights about the area. Each stop shared details about their drinks, and the samples were plentiful while the pace was easygoing.
An excellent way to explore the historic Strip District in Pittsburgh. Every stop was well chosen, and I truly valued the insights provided by our guide.
I recommend booking directly, as my reservation was not communicated to the winery and I arrived to find it locked. However, the tour guides worked hard to salvage my day, and I enjoyed my time at R Cellar and Pennsylvania Libations, where the bartenders were very welcoming. I appreciate Pennsylvania Libations for making my experience enjoyable as a solo traveler.
This tour was a fantastic experience! Our guide was not only knowledgeable and helpful, but also displayed professionalism and politeness. The walking involved was minimal, and during the tour, the guide highlighted historic buildings and shared insights about the area's history. We explored five different locations: two wineries, a beer hall, a distillery, and a shop exclusively selling Pennsylvania-made products, which was very interesting. Sampling was available at each stop, and at the store, we had the option to purchase what we tasted, which was nice. The staff at each place were friendly and provided detailed explanations of what we were enjoying. The tour ends at a winery with a restaurant, making it quite convenient. I would highly recommend this experience!
The guide had an impressive understanding of the area's history and was quite personable. Each shop owner we met shared more historical insights and were very engaging. Additionally, there was a great selection of beer, wine, and spirits.
Cathy and Pat are fantastic! As locals passionate about their work, they made the experience memorable. We began at the winery with a tasting of three wines, and I ended up purchasing a bottle. Pat, our knowledgeable guide, led us to different local beer and wine shops while sharing interesting historical insights. I highly recommend this wine experience for anyone visiting Pittsburgh.
