I recently took this tour and found our guide Sarah to be outstanding—she was friendly, punctual, engaging, and knowledgeable. In my experience with food tours, she stands out as the best guide, managing to give everyone space while also contributing valuable insights at the right moments. I learned interesting things about the city and local dining spots. While the food was all unique and I tried everything, nothing really stood out as exceptional, yet nothing was bad either. That said, considering the cost, it felt significantly overpriced. The food tasting added up to about $25 per person, excluding the separately purchased wine, while the total price was listed at $98. For what we sampled, this tour doesn't provide good value. I used some credit I had, so I went ahead, but I wouldn't pay that much otherwise.
My fiancé and I celebrated her birthday with a weekend trip to Pittsburgh, and the food tour turned out to be an enjoyable adventure. We discovered that Pittsburgh's culinary scene is diverse and delectable. Since we were the only participants that day, we bonded with our guide, Emily, who was well-informed about the city’s history and food culture. She also offered great suggestions for future visits. There was plenty to eat, and we even took some leftovers home. I would definitely join this food tour again, both in Pittsburgh and in other places.
This food tour was fantastic. Emily, our guide, was not only knowledgeable but also enthusiastic and entertaining. We explored spots we are sure to revisit on our next trip to “The Burgh.” We strongly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour with fantastic food. I really enjoyed my time in Pittsburgh. It's definitely a worthwhile experience for the price!
We had a wonderful time exploring Pittsburgh with Sarah, who shared her extensive knowledge of the city. Despite the cold, we enjoyed a delightful downtown walk and tasted a variety of delicious foods. Our 16-year-old daughter loved trying everything and had engaging conversations with Sarah. I highly recommend this as a fantastic way to discover a new city.
The guide was very knowledgeable, the food options were excellent, and the experience was simply enjoyable.
This food tour was excellent. We ended up quite full. Our guide was both friendly and well-informed.
Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The food tasting was ample and satisfying. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
I had a fantastic time! I faced some difficulty while booking because the website wouldn't open, so my friend ended up getting my ticket. Our guide, Sarah, was excellent; she shared numerous interesting facts and had a wonderful enthusiasm. I’m really happy we decided to take this tour. We visited places I had never been to before and sampled new foods. It was a great experience!
Rob expertly guided us to fantastic local spots while sharing fascinating history. We anticipated visiting Primanti’s, but meeting Christos at his Greek restaurant was a delightful surprise. Ending the tour at the Printl bakery within the beautiful William Penn Hotel was a brilliant touch. I highly recommend this experience.
