This is an excellent opportunity to discover the city's history while enjoying a bike ride. Our guide was very well-informed about both history and architecture.
This tour is excellent for anyone visiting Pittsburgh for the first time. Sarah, our guide, was outstanding—very knowledgeable, friendly, and she remembered everyone's names. The tour offered a diverse range of sights and a solid introduction to the city. I strongly recommend it for both newcomers and seasoned Pittsburgh visitors.
The ride offered stunning views of the city's architecture and natural beauty. Sarah shared captivating stories that brought the city's history to life.
Our bike tour today was led by Sarah, an outstanding guide who shared a wealth of knowledge about Pittsburgh, making it ideal for first-time visitors to this beautiful city. The biking was easy with good-quality bikes and helmets, and we made several important stops to learn about the city's history, including architecture, bridges, and notable sites. We’re in town for the Green Bay Packers vs. Steelers NFL game this weekend, but this tour is definitely a highlight of our long weekend. I would highly recommend it to anyone, and they offer other tours as well, so be sure to explore those options.
The tour was very informative, with plenty of stops to appreciate the architecture and learn about the town’s history. Biking felt safe on the streets, bridges, and bike paths. It was a beautiful day, and the group was great. Dave did a commendable job, although the tour felt a bit lengthy at over three hours.
This experience in Pittsburgh is truly unforgettable. Our guide Mark was incredibly kind and attentive, particularly since my mom had knee surgery and was concerned about keeping up. The city is beautiful, and biking is the perfect way to explore it. Mark surprised us with snacks and a small gift, making this day even more memorable. We will always remember him and the wonderful Sarah from the bike shop.
We rented two Gazelle e-bikes in Pittsburgh and rode for five days to Cumberland, MD, along the Great Allegheny Passage. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and the bikes along with the team at Bike the Burgh were exceptional. The service and support were greatly appreciated, and Sarah deserves special mention for her assistance and helpful suggestions. Choosing Bike the Burgh is a decision you won't regret.
If you're looking to bike, laugh, learn, and fall in love with Pittsburgh, Bike the Burgh Tours is the place to be. Whether you're a tourist or a long-time resident, this tour reveals fascinating aspects of the city that you might not know. The staff is outstanding. Val, the owner, welcomes you warmly, making you feel like part of the family. Hannah ensures everything runs smoothly, and our tour guide, Dave, mixes history with humor and shares hidden treasures as if he's hosting a show. Carl, the mechanic, fine-tuned my bike so well that it felt like I was floating through the city. The whole team infuses the experience with energy, knowledge, and passion. You don't just go on a tour; you really connect with Pittsburgh. For fun, culture, and a touch of excitement, Bike the Burgh Tours is the best option around.
Our tour in April 2026 with Harry B was exceptional. Our family of three, including our 5-year-old on a tandem, had a fantastic time discovering the city. Harry communicated effectively, ensured our safety, catered to our interests, and engaged our son while also assisting other group members, such as an 82-year-old rider. His enthusiasm for his city was evident. The cost was very reasonable for the duration of the tour, and we appreciated the use of their tandem bike. My only concern was that our bikes were somewhat dated, and I experienced gear slipping, but it didn't hinder my enjoyment. I could have switched bikes if needed but felt comfortable staying on mine. I understand they are adding new bikes this spring, which should resolve this issue. We will certainly choose Bike the Burgh again on our next trip to Pittsburgh and recommend them to others. Thank you, Harry!
The bikes were well-maintained, and our guide Brian shared fantastic insights about the city while ensuring we were informed about safety measures. It was a wonderful morning experience.
