Istria, a wonderful peninsula that lies near the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, is famous for its coastal sights and its vibrant green inland vegetation, with numerous cultural-historic attractions and memorable natural vistas viewed from village hilltops. Additionally, it is a treasure trove of culinary delights. Istrian cuisine is a reflection of the climatic, geographical, and historical wonders of the area, combining multiple local culinary traditions based on olive oil, seafood, seasonal vegetables, aromatic spices, and indigenous plants. Hidden beneath your Istrian host’s smile is an on-going invitation to taste and discover the real features of this idyllic coastal land.
2This tour make unique, that you will eat lunch in three countries. Maybe you have not eaten yet. 1st country Croatia (starters) Bobiči (this is the typical Istrian minestrone with vegetables and pieces of ham) ... a glass of wine will definitely be on the table. The appetizer will be in the smallest city in the world, so says the Guiness Book of Records. HUM retained the image of the early medieval city. 2nd country Slovenia (main dish) Visit to the inn in Rodik, located on the Karst and not far from Lipica stud-farm. Here we will eat the national Slovenian gourmet lunch. After lunch we will continue to Lipica. From the outside we will see the terrains of the oldest stud farm in Europe from 1580. 3rd country Italy ( coffee) The end of lunch will be in Italy, precisely in the city of coffee – Trieste, on it's Unity Square. We will drink great coffee and then we will slowly take it back to Portoroz.

We will guide you along scenic paths through vineyards and ancient olive groves, with views of the salt flats on the way. Our focus is on exploring hidden corners of the landscape and indulging in genuine local cuisine. Our tour starts in small town of Piran with a short drive through the city to get to the countryside. Stops are frequent, so we can enjoy the view and take as many photos as you would like. A local oil farmer waits for us along the way, where we will get a degustation of extra virgin olive oil. Later on we provide a light lunch where you can take a short walk through an Istrian village. On our way back we will take a road along the coastline with views of the ocean and seaside cities as well as surrounding countries. we finish off with a glass of local wine back at the office while sharing impressions of the tour.

6Start your day with a relaxing stroll through the charming coastal town of Piran, one of Slovenia's most picturesque gems. Enjoy a morning coffee in Tartini Square, surrounded by Venetian architecture and the sound of the sea. After a short walking tour to admire the town’s medieval walls, narrow alleys, and panoramic views, we’ll head inland to discover the rich flavors of the Slovenian Istrian countryside. Next stop: Marezige, home to the famous Wine Fountain. Taste a selection of premium local wines with a glass in hand while taking in breathtaking views over the vineyards and Koper Bay. The experience is elevated with a platter of authentic Istrian delicacies, offering a true taste of the region's culinary heritage. 7A walking tour through the narrow streets of Piran will take you back to the medieval times and give you great insight how people were living here few centuries ago. In 90 minutes walking tour with tour guides who are all locals you will hear some great stories from their granddads, local fishermen, salt producers and many more.
